Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O’Cha, as the director of the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) Committee, is preparing to consider full details of the country reopening plan as proposed by the CCSA sub-panel committee by tomorrow, October 22nd.

According to local media, the details will include the full list of at least 10 low-risk countries that would be allowed to visit the country without mandatory quarantine. Previously, the government only mentioned five countries, namely the United Kingdom, the United States, Singapore, Germany, and China.

The Prime Minister will also consider screening and preventive procedures of incoming tourists.

I stopped reading the government <deleted> long ago. Why even bother? The truth tends to be in the comment section.

  • To consider something, one needs expertise, knowledge and some sort of brain cells. This guy is clueless.

So its 24 hours later and its all change again - now he is considering ALL testing at the airport ? Yesterday they said 25 minutes from gate to taxi - now you're going to be spending hours at the airport waiting for your results if this is true ! And if this is true , why in earth do you need to book an AQ hotel for a night or so ? What if i want to stay at my house after a an airport test

  1. agree to have a Covid-19 test by the Thai medical personnel upon arrival. They will be allowed to travel to the designated areas only when the result is negative.
  2. present a receipt or booking information of accommodations

It's all nonsense again. Sort it out you silly man, you're destroying any hope of any tourism

hopefully all change tomorrow on another yo-yo or throw of the dice

at point of just checking in next year, when things are a bit more stable.

I hear the place is a buzzkill due to decimated shuttered businesses all over.

Surprised the currency is still so resilient...no furlough for the poor Thais who have lost any savings at their back who owned businesses.

When I came to Denmark, under last years corona, I landed in CPH, I had to get a nose swab.

It was well organized, swift and straightforward. It took around 30 min, only for the test and result.

We talk about a rather small airport, limited air travel and danes, which are good to organize.

Now, lets imagine Suvarnabhumi, 3 × fully booked 777 landing.

And thais.

The rising sense of another cluster<deleted> in the making. And all of it unnecessary.

Well done, Thai authorities.

If you'd like to explain how that can possible make any difference to entry to Thailand when you are double jabbed and negative pcr tested both before flight and entry I'm all ears.

Breaking...the Thai PM has stated just now that the Thai government will be increasing the number of low risk countries able to enter Thailand without a strict seven-day quarantine if vaccinated from at least ten to 46 as they attempt to speed up the return to tourism. (1)

Before you ask, no the list has not been made available. Likely tomorrow at the major ccsa meeting. Was from the PMs FB page.

Come on Thailand, don’t be a trouble maker.

Please be friendly to the tourists.

But...but...it has kept changing every minute or so ( not only related to this matter actually )..hence, .why would that be different at the last minute, and that, whether the condition abroad evolves one way or another ?

It could just make them very precautious as THAIS are not all vaccinated and sure not with Pfizer or A.Z. or similar value ......that is why ....????

Every time the brakes are loosened  contagions  rise  especially in  U.K. .....strange a big surge in contagions  or new variant  is latest there always

My sandbox hotel in Phuket last month cost me 600 baht/night

The worry now is for me that the UK goes on Thailand's red list, Madeira just did it, I fear other countries will soon follow as cases get into the 100,s a thousand. I was about to book for early December, not worried about anything open, It's a permeate return and have a condo ready

I dunno, that 777 might be stopping at 46 odd countries to pick up a few tourists at each country !

Another thread with more gossip and more rumour for everyone to get all excited about.

Why not just wait until the official announcement.
