Red Bull heir Vorayuth “Boss” Yoovidhya who is wanted over a hit and run that resulted in the death of a policeman in Bangkok is hiding out in Austra, it has been claimed.

On Thursday, senior police officers told The House Committee for Police Affairs that police investigating Boss believe he is in Austria.

However, because his visa had expired they were unable to confirm if he was still there.

Officers told Mr. Sanya Nilsuphan, a Palang Parcharath Party MP, budget restraints had meant that Thai police had been unable to send a team to track the suspect down in Austria.

Police said they had contacted and had sent letters to the relevant departments of countries overseas in a bid to track down Boss and had received replies from many of them.

Police said that Boss remained subject of a Interpol red notice.

Police added that the investigation into 18 officers accused of preventing prosecution of Boss is set to be concluded before the end of the year.

Police said they had not contacted Boss’s family members as they were not involved in the case.

It is alleged that Boss was driving a Ferrari at speed when it collided with police officer Wichian Klanprasert in Bangkok in 2012.

Wichian's body was dragged over 100 metres.

Boss fled the scene and has never been arrested.

Previously it had been reported Boss had fled to Singapore, London, Dubai and most recently, Austria.

Given the entire reputation of the country is on the line, budget should be the least of the issues, if of course they were in any way serious about bringing him back. Oh! Silly me.

  • Budget constraints prevented Police from going to Austria and arresting Little Penis BOSS.  Gov't spent billions and billions for useless army toys, but now no money available for this. What a joke! W

Austria is the home of Red Bull outside Thailand!

But they are witnesses in his evading capture and as such should be interviewed.

They are also likely to be funding his lifestyle.

Now it all becomes clear as I am certain there is no Extradition Treaty with Austra!

Send some highflying billionaire government officials over.

A quick trip over to Liechtenstein and Switzerland to update their bankbooks, once they are over in Austria.

I suppose the police will have to avoid all contacts with Austria in case the Austrians let slip where he is hiding.

You'd wonder, you're well connected man and you own billions and yet you can't sleep in the same bed 2 night in the row, so what's the use of having all the above while living on a run like a common criminal?...

Salzburg would be a place to start.

Pay me a handsome finder loan and I will do the job.

You think he is running and hiding. lol

He is living his life as never anything happened.

Taking him out wouldn't be a problem.

Getting him out is less easy.

I would presume that a family with that kind of wealth, as part of the Red Bull-fortune, would probably be able to buy not only one, but several passports from countries giving one such in return for a relative modest investment, making a visa in a Thai passport unnecessary...????

So in all these years he has not called his mum or dad, other family etc?

He has paid cash for every purchase he has made since being on the lamb?

Yes, but I'm sure they know his whereabouts.  Furthermore, because of the family's enormous wealth, I doubt the police have ever contacted them.

My guess is that he's not "hiding" and is walking around in plain sight and ignored by authorities as is benefited by the rich and powerful in a two-tiered global justice system.

enormous wealth...

People have different names, different Passports, some have face surgery,  unless fingerprints of every male around the same age were taken, he maybe in the same room as them

I feel there is a need of brown envelopes again... Almost found, but not sure.... maybe better go and see where the F1 races are.. I think you will a big chance t find him

I stopped reading after "police said"

Definitely NOT Australia. Australia's border security is amongst the best in the world. All his and family money would not get him into the country if he is on an INTERPOL red list. First flight back to Thailand.

After that anything could happen.

So the RTP think they they have some jurisdiction in Austria?   What would they do if they found him, he's not wanted for anything in Austria.

Oh! Silly me.

What should be of more concern to the RTP is their lack of jurisdiction anywhere except Thailand!

RTP cannot arrest anyone in Austria!

Yes, so once they are there what do you propose that they do?  They have no jurisdiction there!

He'll have no sleeping soundly issues in Austria, or anywhere else, he's not wanted anywhere except Thailand!
