Banglamung, Pattaya, Chonburi – A 40-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly sexually harassing a 12-year-old girl in Banglamung earlier this week (December 8th).

The Nongprue Police was notified of the incident in the Pong sub-district. They and The Pattaya News team arrived at the scene to find Mr. Kongdet Chakamthorn, 49, and his daughter, a 12-year-old girl. Her name was withheld due to being a minor.

Mr. Kongdet had already personally detained and made a “citizen’s arrest” on the suspect, who was named to the press as a Mr. Fai, 40, before Nongprue police arrived. Mr. Fai also reportedly used a knife hidden on his person to threaten police during the arrest. However, Fai was eventually disarmed and taken to a local police station. Nobody was injured during the arrest.

Fair play to the guy for detaining the weirdo and calling the Police. Most guys who found an oddball who had broken into their house and daughters bedroom to “hug her” would have kicked the sh.the out of him.

A paedophile , one more ...

What happens in the brain of those apparently sick persons ?

What attracts them to underage kids ?

I do not know that , but I know that this is kind of mental disorder . May be psychiatric treatment would help ? If that does not help , may be this :

Sounds like it's time to move this guy out of the villagers way and get him treated or institutionalised.

He's a ticking time-bomb.

The father showed great restraint. The miscreant at, 40, is not a man. Authorities should ensure he never becomes one.

sounds like just another thai nutter on the loose,  probably a drug user.

Bullet to the head, problem solved for the whole village.

“But officer, she told me she was 14!!”

Fai as a surname sounds Chinese to me.

Hmmmm.........dead man walking?

“Mr. Fai broke into my house, entered my daughter’s room, and started to hug my daughter. She screamed, getting my attention before I caught Mr. Fai. in the act, detained him, and called the police.”

Mr. Kongdet along with neighbors nearby told TPN media that Mr. Fai has an anger management problem and an extreme temper. Kongdet and his neighbors stated that this was not the first issue with Mr. Fai and they wanted him out of the village permanently.

Anger management problems, extreme temper, carrying a knife, threating police, breaking into a home, molesting a child in her room?  The guys needs to be met in a dark soi one night by a group of "concerned citizens".
