who exactly do they mean by "other arrivals who are fully vaccinated". I live in bkk and have booked to go to phuket over xmas and NY arriving after dec 16.

They mean "foreign arrivals". You are not a foreign arrival if you're already inside the country.

Why oh why limit the number to 1500 a day for the three preceding days, and then allow 5000 on the 30th and 31st?   The beaurocratic/military bossy mindset is indeed a wondrous thing.

So yesterday I got my Thai pass, to return to Thailand after 2yrs away from my wife and family, fully vaxed & boosted  1 day quarantine booked January 5th, staying 30 days, I now have to stay 7 days in quarantine,  ??????????

Only one day to wait for your negative test result in Thailand.

7 days to recover if you're tested positive.

Attendees at each event will be limited at 15,000 at each location for the whole event. Daily attendees on December 27th, 28th and 29th are limited to 1,500 while, on December 30th and 31st, the number is set at a maximum of 5,000 a day.

So are they going to count them in as they arrive?

Multiple entry points or one gate and A VERY LONG QUEUE?

For other arrivals, those who are fully vaccinated will be subject to 7 days isolation in their hotels, and one RT-PCR test plus a second antigen test, effective December 16th." (I added the emphasis)

So we're back to the quarantine scheme, just when it looked like tourism was starting to pick back up.

Looks like most people will think they have the cold.

Unless you self isolate for a fortnight before, you could easily pick it up.

Except the person who died from Omicron and the ones in the hospital ....and it's only just begun....

The Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration resolved to end all maximum disease control zones (red zones) and allow New Year countdown drinking to continue until 1am on Jan 1.

I thought I'd read somewhere that Phuket had been given the green light for an "all-nighter"?

That is ridiculous . Who will be able to count this ?

...14999 ... 15000 ... closed . Some of the people will leaving , more will want to join in ... nobody can control this , as it will take place in an open space .

Anyway limiting the number of attendees to 15000 will help reduce the spread of the virus ?

It's a mad world .

Reinstating the quarantine process will of course totally shaft the reopening plan. Can they not understand - as soon as "quarantine" is mentioned, people quite simply don't book!

I rather suspect that those influential people who have invested in providing quarantine facilities may be calling the shots here? Either way, they have shafted things again!

"Pirrocks"!

lol.... u looking for some logic?

What on earth have the super creeps done now? Just when there was at least a hope that some tourists might show up, they add a dollop of mud to the mix, and make things completely muddled again. Anyone know what this actually means? Who does the one day test and go program apply to, and who is subject to the 7 day prison stint?

Dumb and dumber. Anything connected to the Pratin duo fails. And all of this extreme cowardice, over what appears to be a weak and feeble variant.

You know that and most of the world know that it is ridiculous but to ex army generals and their followers then with their IQ levels perhaps they didn't think of the practicalities  ????

I wish the currency Gods would at least reward us dirty farangs with better THB exchange rates every time a backward immigration policy is layered atop the already huge pile of buffoonery.

Labeling yourself a 'dirty farang' is not helpful or humorous but it does indicate a victim mindset.

Is Little O , Omicron invited? he can go undetected for a few days?

"For other arrivals, those who are fully vaccinated will be subject to 7 days isolation" Who are the OTHER arrivals? Is it just those few countries on the high-risk list that can't use the test and go?

I'm British and double vaxxed and now have to do 15 days locked in hotel loom due to arriving from a West African country....

Because breakthrough infections are common with Omicron, your situation is exactly how it has traveled to other countries. The fact that you're British has nothing to do with it.

Yeah, that's where the Big Money is at...

Investing in quarantine hotels during a temporary health problem, that will end someday after most of the world is vaccinated. ????

Allowing New Year festivities - they must be mad.  Don't they remember what happened when they didn't cancel Songkran?

Ehm... there was almost no vaccination at the time, and no rapid tests were required.

It does n't help that Thai's think Africa is one country with S Africa being the capital - morons.

In the same boat, flew into Kenya from my home in Bangkok and now face 14 days due to all of Africa ruling ... doesnt matter that Nairobi is as far from Johannesburg as Beijing is from Bangkok .... rather than spending 14days in quarantine Im thinking about doing 21 days in Phnom Penh first no quarantine  then come in under test'n'go

I'm going through quarantine right now.  Arrived Saturday and actually the process at Suvarnabhumi Airport was very fast and efficient.  WAY faster then I expected.  I didn't even get to sit in the initial chair line for more than a minute.  Immigration lines were very short.  I walked right up to be stamped to enter.  They didn't have the expedited lines for business or first class and they didn't need them.

Taxi service was provided by the hotel and their staff met me and others at the airport and organized your ride to the hotel.  I rode alone having traveled alone and the driver's section was sealed off from me by clear plastic.

I did the Bangkok Sand Box, but because I wasn't in the U.S. for 21 consecutive days, I am quarantined for 7 days.  I even have 2 vaccines and a booster.  (Not bragging.  I only got the shots to come home.  If the situation was different I wouldn't have gotten them.)  After you arrive, you get the 1st RT-PCR test and wait 24 hours (or so.  My wait was less.  This was my 3rd PCR test this week for traveling.).  If negative, you're allowed to go outside, but have to finish the quarantine.  When I say you can go outside, I mean they let you go, say for example, to the mall you're hotel is attached to.  So, you're not a prisoner inside the hotel.  Basically I guess you can go anywhere, but you have to return to the hotel.  The 6th day you had to do a self test or you can have the nurse on staff do it.

The hotel and staff are very nice and the room is huge and clean.  The floor I'm on is a restricted floor.  Only people on quarantine can go up and get out on that floor.  You have to use your key card on the elevator before you push the floor button or a woman's voice announces loudly "you have selected a restricted floor."

All in all, it hasn't been bad except for missing a week with my family.  I wouldn't want to make them sick, so it's worth it to me.

Imagine just getting your passport stamped, getting on the bts and going about your life. Wasn’t that the reason for the jab? If you have been jabbed and tested why are you still being treated like a leper?

Another rule change to be ignored. From what I've seen the restaurant bars are just like the bars used to be, not much food in sight but lots of check-bin and bottles. They might as well just let them open as normal.

No opportunity for graft if they do.

The WHO and many other organisations or NGOs talk of "Africa" rather than individual countries.  So do many African politicians.  This is similar to the way some talk as if the EU were the whole of Europe and unified homogeneous whole.

Because this "vaccine" is not truly a vaccine.  Supposedly before a shot is considered a "vaccine", it goes through "years of testing."  If I can find the document I have from the CDC I'll show you this is what it says. (It is attached) This "jab" supposedly only lessens the symptoms to yourself if you catch the virus and because these vaccines were released so quickly, the long term side affects are unknown.  We know some people have had serious side affects such as blood clots and people have died.

COVID is not going to disappear.  So, do what you can do to live your life the fullest.

I realized that I did not understand anything.

If my country is not included in the list of 63 countries and I previously planned 7 days (or 5 days from December 16) in the SHA + sandbox, then what category of foreigners do I fall into now?

Are you arriving on the second Tuesday of a month, during a full moon, from a country with an R in it's name?

If so - 7 days quarantine.

But if arriving on the third Wednesday via an approved sea port, then just 1 day.

Countries on the Red list

It says here, test and go = max 1 day, and later it says : those fully vac , need 7 days isolation ???

i mean test-and-go = also for fully vac…

Can this be rewritten by the staff ? As this has contradictions now, as well as confuses people unnecessarily.

thank you

It is probably any country not on the list of the 63 approved countries for Test and Go.
