Essentially a British version of Gilligan's Island, if you like that kind of stuff. I need to be drunk to watch it.

I watched "Where the Crawdads Sing" and thought it was good, if a little slow, but worth hanging in for overall.

I used to enjoy it, but after 8 seasons it's getting kind of stale. Tried watching ep.1 of the new season, but gave it away after 10 minutes.

I really enjoyed this movie, a nice surprise as I knew nothing about it before I watched it.

Re-watched The Capture Series 1 in advance of Series 2. Was OK until the last couple of episodes when it got too difficult to follow. Hope S2 is better.

War of the Worlds (TV Series 2019– ) - IMDb

Series 3 with first two episodes has been released.

I watched the first two and they were not a bad alternate version of the H G Wells classic.

Trouble is I watched series two almost 18 months ago and my memory of the plot is a bit vague.

I will need to watch series one and two again before embarking on series 3.

One of the advantages of old age is that you are always gaining a seemingly new library of entertainment.

As I said, have a few more drinks then it's OK.

McDonald & Dobbs - first two series OK

Upped their game with series 3 - very watchable.

I think the best UK crime show at the moment is-- North Sea Connection.....just 4 parts 2nd one out 2-morrow. Good acting / plot etc ..a bit like "Kin"

As I recall there were some new episodes of "Billy the Kid" due out sometime in September, so has anyone seen them or know of their whereabouts, or indeed any news about them?

Try TPB. Series 1 complete.

Anyone watching Lord of the Rings? episode 3 is up, lovely scenic views but the writing seems dull and Lenny Henry rather annoying.

Always has been as far as I'm concerned.

Diversity box ticking, black actors have to be in everything. They wont cast them as Orcs of course, role too negative!

How do you know black actors were not cast as Orcs in Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit?

The Orcs either wore masks and prosthetics or were CGI!

Thor - Love and Thunder is now available (without hard coded Korean subs) in all formats including 4K at all usual sources.

I watched it with the missus last night... laughed all the way through... a very entertaining movie.

I think it was JaiDee who commented on it.

I watched it last night as well and TBH I was a little disappointed and in some places it was "cringeworthy". I'm a big fan of the Marvel franchise and Chris Hemsworth, who usually gives a great performance as Thor but IMHO it went downhill after they wrote  3 major characters Odin, Loki & Heimdall (Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hiddlestone and Idris Elba - all quality actors) out.

Me too and really enjoying it. Seems to be getting a bad press from the Tolkein purists / Peter Jackson groupies.

Don't compare the films to the series
