The Man who Putin Couldn't Kill recently viewed on SBS Australia and is still on SBS On Demand for those who have access. It is also on Youtube.

I regularly read all the posts on this site and I don't recall a reference to it being posted here before.

Pretty sure it was recommended last year.

Well worth a watch.

I thought it aired for first time recently but I have since read it was late last year.

Apologies to everyone are in order then.

I really doubt my memory going back more than a few months now.

I am sure it won't be long before all the movies I have watched in years past will be deemed to have "slipped under my radar" and I will have an unlimited new supply.

I don't think it has Sanuk711.

I used to love Beck, but gave up on it when Mikael Persbrandt left the show.

Series 2 of 'We Hunt Together' reportedly started on Alibi last week, although I haven't seen the first episode appear in the usual place as yet. Trailer is from the first series.

"A gripping twist on a classic cat-and-mouse story, Eve Myles, Babou Ceesay, Hermione Corfield and Dipo Ola star in our brand new psychological thriller. We Hunt Together explores the intoxication of sexual attraction, the dangerous power of emotional manipulation, and how finding a volatile form of solace in another can have dire consequences as two conflicted coppers track down a pair of deadly killers."

And after he moves on what will be the politically correct  requirements for the incoming Dr Who, the mind boggles.

New season of Bosch is out, called Bosch Legacy. Harry has quit the LAPD and become a private detective, joining forces with the previously despised Honey Wilder. A great series.

This was decent.

I was looking for a Vietnam war song and came across this documentary from the Canadian National FIlm Board. It just shows life in Saigon or some big city and Vietnamese people at that period. Flashback stuff for those who were there I would think. It's called Sad Song of Yellow Skin.

Think I'll give it a pass.  Long running, highly rated series, but reading current reviews (imdb) and most are <5 or silly 9 & 10s, not much in between.  To me, screams, don't bother.

I'm sure it's been recommended here but I blazed through two seasons/5 eps of McDonald & Dodds

Bath looks like an amazing city; still kicking myself for not visiting.

Normally I don't like the Clue-like mystery style, but that is more than off-set by the odd-couple vibe of the main protagonists.

Tala Gouveia and Jason Watkins absolutely kill it.

I was going with a girl in Oz who was a big fan of his, so I took her to see him at the Brisbane center--honest Will27  it was 2.1/2 hour show and some of his jokes took 15 minutes to finish---what a ramble. This was over 30 years ago -before he had his current problems.  People would shout something up to him on stage and he would ramble off on another track. Maybe its just me , because she thought it was great.         I can only remember a 1 liner joke from the whole session.....

Nobody thought Mel Gibson could play a Scot but look at him now! ................Alcoholic and a racist

He was funny at one time but time doesn't treat humour well.

Today I started watching season 1 of Fariña (Cocaine Coast). It's a Spanish crime drama set in Galicia about smugglers who switch from smuggling tobacco to cocaine. Pretty good so far IMHO. Worth a look.

Have you seen Profugos AKA The Fugitives? Chilean based cocaine gang turn  to kidnapping  for vengange - I thought  it was brilliant- it's  subtitles.

I saw the very first  episodes when I was a child it was great, well written, original and scary but the current  box ticking  idiocy  has not improved it and now its a vehicle, beyond parody, for woke political correctness featuring a black, gay chest baring pretty boy as the once venerable doctor  of the universe.

Yes I think it might  be better than the original  series actually by introducing his  daughter as a rookie police officer.

And also he made one himself---  "I Called My Killer. He Confessed"  I think this was before he became President-- after a failed attempt to poison him,. He says-- That he called one of them pretending to be a Putin Aid asking  -:What the hell went wrong. ....You can watch it on YouTube. IMDB give it a 9- https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13876312/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

"Opposition figure Alexey Navalny says he’s managed to fool one of the federal agents who

tried to kill him into a confession. Using a spoofed telephone number and posing as an assistant

for Russian National Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Navalny himself called

Konstantin Kudryavtsev (a chemical-weapons specialist, according to Bellingcat) and

spent nearly an hour questioning him about the failed attempt to poison him in August.

During their conversation, Kudryavtsev told Navalny that the dose used to poison him

would have been fatal if the plane’s pilot hadn’t made an emergency landing in Omsk

and if paramedics on the ground hadn’t acted as quickly as they did."

Don't want to do mutable posts---so rant on one

Barry

I really like this series ---but 23 minutes, what a rip off, its a 30 minute slot on USA TV . That equates to 1 min Adds to every 3 min of TV.

Thank you God--(Bob Kahn) for Internet. & for the uploaders that remove all the adds before sending it on.

---------------------------------------------------

Bosch

Great series --good acting, found I had read the book on the current one---what a bummer, they take so long between series and I do plough through the books--(mainly because there free)  Never mind I can show the wife how smart I am by spotting the killer on the 3rd episode.

Anyone reading Michael Connelly  I thought "Crime Beat" the only non Fiction one I think--was a good read , its about Before he became a novelist, he was a crime reporter, covering the detectives who worked the homicide beat .

I too read all the books and the TV series is good and well cast but I got a bit lost with all the story lines and undifferentiated  characters.  The new Bosch is better I think
