Popular Post webfact
PHOTO: Wisarn Sangjaroen / Top News By Goong Nang(GN) Chonburi – A driver escaped without injuries last night after driving his personal vehicle into a lagoon in the Phan Thong district, claiming he was following GPS navigation that was faulty and that the incident was not his fault. Rescue workers were notified of the accident at a lagoon in the Marp Pong sub-district just before midnight last night, January 10th, 2022. First response teams arrived at the scene of the accident to find the white sedan partially submerged inside the lagoon. It took more than one hour to pull up the sedan from the water which was about five meters deep by using a crane truck. The driver was uninjured, although soaking wet, and had managed to swim out of his vehicle to the shore nearby. Of course its not his fault otherwise it would be expensive. This way he could still try to claim insurance. Besides how stupid would someone look if he drives into a lagoon and admits he was at fault. I am a total idiot when it comes to navigating and driving so i love GPS but I can't imagine doing something that stupid. Sure my GPS has send me up the elevated highway once when i was on my motorcycle. I quickly got off, this was in the time you did not have a motorcycle setting.
Popular Post Megasin1
So the large expanse of water directly in front wasn't a big enough warning ? I would think the time of the incident was a big clue to the problem here, but you never know, being soaking wet may excuse you from a breathalyser ???? 1 1

bbko
If his GPS story isn't accepted by his insurance his next claim will be he blew his horn several times at the lagoon before crashing into it.
kwak250
On a recent trip to Chiang Rai i set the gps to go to a temple up in the mountains. Now this was crazy steep and a dmax was struggling in front of us and rolled back on a few parts . Wife went absolutely bat sh7t crazy and i did blame the gps as it turns out the other side was much easier. Saying that not sure how you could drive into a river unless the gps is connected to the throttle.

marcho
If the insurance company has any brains they will send someone there with the same GPS and see if it does indeed take him into the lagoon. If it dosnt, no payout!!!
