Thian Thalee police in Bang Khun Thian, south western Bangkok, arrested three young security guards in their hut at the projects in Soi Thian Thalee 28.

 

Taken into custody along with four large knives were Chun, 20, Chanachai, 19 and Seksan, 20. 

 

This followed the murder of Wanchai Hingsa, 34, a resident of Building 17 on Monday. 

 

Chun said he was investigating a disturbance when he found Wanchai drunk and abusive. He decided to leave him to it but was followed and slapped in the face by the drunk man.

 

So he called his two security guard buddies who all together attacked the resident who later died in Nakhon Thon Hospital.

 

Chun said that Wanchai was always making trouble and loud noise and was universally hated by his neighbors. 

 

All three were charged with murdering the resident, weapons offences and detained.

While murder may have been an extreme solution, something needs to be done with fools like the victim. Not condoning the murder. But, when someone continually steps over the line, there may be consequences.

1. No loud music.

2. Pay back loans promptly.

Somehow I don't think three security guards in a hut represent the countries future. 

 

Besides that what on earth does "in the Bangkok projects" even mean? Poor reporting.

He was neutralized and one less drunk liability around….

Projects is an American term used to describe social housing or housing estates

Looks like they did the community a favour

Chun can say what he likes about a dead man who can't reply.

Many 20 year old men deserve a slap around the face from their elders.

I disagree. Meeting alot of young Thais that are quite impressive. Smart, creative and progressive. Against all odds. You have to give credit to those who are way above the pack. The education here is marginal, and the society teaches convention and a lack of excellence. So, where and how do some of these youth excel? They are the future of the nation. And they blown away the current batch of regressive dinosaurs. Bring them on. ASAP.

Thank you for translating American terms. Projects basically means the ghetto, slums, drug infested apartments. A term fondly talked about by "rap artists)  Projects = "the hood" aka "hood rat"

Yes. I know. Many on this forum don't understand  American vocabulary but I do understand most. Fortunately  my knowledge of American  culture is not dependent on Rap music or other UDM.

A cowardly act. To gang up on one guy and end his life.  And security guards yet. 

When I read this article at first I couldn’t believe that happened in Thailand.  Only from all the comments in other forums that things like this only usually happen in America.
