Video: Aggrieved Thai woman "boxer" says: "You picked on the wrong woman, mate!"

Could there be more to the story than has been reported? Can't believe the idiot poured a beer on her head for only refusing to clink glasses. If he did then not sure he will do it again

  • That's an unfair and wrong characterization of the event, given the guy poured a drink over her head after being knocked back..   Perhaps you might like to retract that statement..

  • Uh because the guy dumped a drink on her head and she didn't let him get away with it?

  • Why is she being praised all over social media for trying to act gangsta?

I guess because most people don’t think it’s ok to pour your drink over someone’s head and don’t consider it particularly “gangsta” (whatever that is) to pay it back.

Bit of a munter with temper issues.

The guy in ue was hardly a coward and refrained from hitting her back but was happy to get a few digs in on the guy in the hat.

Much ado about nothing.

Later in the early morning hours the man turned up and the police fined them both 1,000 baht.

Was that for being a <deleted> or driving a motorcycle without a helmet?

According to the story: both a pair of idiots.

Let's not pretend that we'd all be condoning him for hitting her (for whatever reason).

He wanted to clink glasses and say "Cheers". She refused. Fair enough. She doesn't need to.

But why did he pour a drink on her? Is he an unhinged maniac? Did she refuse offensively? Who knows?

She kicked him at least 10 times and it seems he wasn't hurt at all. Maybe she wasn't such a big boxer after all.

But she has a big mouth.

We don't know that she wasn't trying to peacefully enjoy a meal and/or some drinks before drunk Somchai Romeo pours beer ALL over her because she wouldn't accept his advances. I think that she controlled herself very well. Many Thai guys and ladyboys would have used weapons and ganged up on him.

This girl is a saint, and a fit & cute one at that! ????????

Yeah, there's a lot we don't know.

He wanted to clink glasses (says cheers, or whatever). We don't know he was "advancing" on her. Could have just been a friendly "cheers"

We also don't know how she refused. She could have been vulgar about it, for all we know.

Is there footage inside the place? I'd like to see.

Did you see the video? She lost complete control of herself and he was hit by (ganged up on) two in her group. They weren't very successful in their assault, though not for lack of trying.

She is "fit" though.

He made a romantic approach to her, was rebuffed and then he poured water (so I heard) on her as he had lost face.

Taken a deep breath, laughed it off and been the bigger person.

Instead she looks like someone that does not have control over their emotions and subsequent actions. Which to be fair, is the typical reaction here in Thailand.

The guy, with a frail ego, poured a drink on her head as he tried to leave. She deserves the praise.

So if someone poured a drink on you at a restaurant, are you saying you would just sit there and let it be?

Are you kidding?

Men in general don't hit women. It is frowned upon, even if they did something to justify it.

Men who hit women often get lynched by people nearby. Lol.

The number of times I have seen women do as they please knowing full well there will be no consequences is ridiculous.

As Bill Burr said, "Do you have any idea how much of an ass I would be if it was socially unacceptable to hit me?" Lol

You don't understand Thai society then. Sadly men beat up women all the time

Try not to act like a complete ar*e.

For sure whatever I did would not appear on social media though. ????

According to your post, you wouldn't have done anything to defend yourself using"self control"????

I've seen a few punch ups in the street.

My neighbour and his wife were giving it a go a few years back (both university educated in their 40s).

Full force punches in the face, she won and ended up standing over him while he lay on the road sobbing.

In Thailand the women are just as likely to beat the men (from what I've seen and experienced).

I wonder if anyone else notices the similarities between this article and the similar article about a group of Thai dogs attacking a child?

For the sake of fairness, would praise him if it were the exact other way around?

This was not self defense, hence why she was charged with assault.

There is a difference between self defense and retaliation.

...and none of them seemed to be wearing masks! ????

Exactly.

Not to mention, stab them, cut off their nuts, and hire hitmen.

But their are the fairer sex, lol.

Dude has been sacked from his job.

Personal responsibility is such a heavy burden.

Swissotel Bangkok Ratchada announced on Wednesday it had terminated his employment.

Sure you are watching the same video ?

The man refrained from defending himself from the woman that attacked him after he had poured beer over her .

Not a chance she loses anything over this publicity stunt.

She seems to be benefitting.

If it was two men, it wouldn't even be news (unless one got killed).

But he was apparently a doosh and poured a drink on her (after she refused to do a cheers, then she assaults him all the way down the road with someone else in her group, and he loses his job while she is applauded by the nation.

Lol. What a joke.

I mean, I'd feel sorry for her if she didn't start assaulting him. Just a couple of dooshbags.

You appear to be blind , the man never hit her or tried to defend himself
