A very key thing seems to be missing: who was at fault in the accident. Based on the article it could be either or, and imho. makes the social status quite irrelevant.

The most expensive, highest spec electric car there was.

 

Probably get it coachbuilt especially for me.

 

That's what the ultra rich did in the early years of the petrol engined motor car.
