What happened to the weather this afternoon? It's supposed to be the hottest time of the year, but the temperature suddenly plummeted and it's still falling, currently just 25 C. The app on my phone reckons it will go down to 21 C later on, while another forecast says 19 C. Is this global warming, I've lived here for almost 20 years and have never seen temperatures this low in April?

Marvellous isn't it!

Unfortunately doubt it will last but yes very cold winds. Positively frosty on the motor bike

And rain too, heavy rain and winds that are atypical... I had my sweatshirt on for a while.

quite something for hot hot season.

Weird here in Phichit too.

Hot as hell for a few days. Today overcast & nicely cool.  This time ten years ago. Would be raining cats & dogs.

I agree the cold weather is very very very very strange.....It feels like January now.....April has always been hot hot......Weird just weird....

What? About 10 years ago, this was the hottest and most dry period of the year. It still is. What we see and feel now is the reaction from a taifun.

April 17, 1974.   Super cold

The world was ending.    I told everyone.

This is amazing.

don’t get me started on 1983, 1989, 1996, 2003…..some crazy days that confused the world

North East wind blowing a steady 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph according to Ventusky.

Temperature on my outside pool deck is shown as 20 degrees C as I type this.

I'll be interested to see what the afternoon max temperature will be today. One app on my phone says 27° C, another 23° C, while the TMD website predicts a pleasant 32° C. It's already 23.6° C in the shade outside, so my guess is we'll end up somewhere between 27° and 32° C. And then another chilly night to follow, I need to dig the winter duvet out again, lol.

Climate Change.  It's real.

Yes, the weather changes everyday, like it always has.

'74 sounds like an anomaly.

The event spacing between '83 and '03 doesn't.

The increase in frequency and intensity since then isn't.

Does it change, breaking 100 year old records, all around the world, with such regularity never seen before in the history of record keeping?

It's not weather, it's climate.
