Most non inter province roads are made for at least the weight of 6 wheel trucks.   As stated already, EV are far from the heaviest, compared to many pick ups or SUV on the roads.  

 

Our MG ZS EV weights in at 1570 kg / 3454 lbs, a light weight compared to other SUVs.

Yes, the CH EV manufacturers make a nice profit with the mark up on the international markets.  As the local manufacturers (EU & US) pales with lower specs and higher prices.   Easy to undercut the competition, and still maintain a nice mark up over the CH pricing.

 

In TH, our MG ZS EV, with no import duty, and govt incentive, sells for about the same price, as sold in China.  That's pretty amazing and makes it quite the value.   As are the BYD offerings, compared to other countries.  

 

People talk about a Chinese EV price war coming, and I don't see that happening outside of CH or TH, as they simply don't need to discount their cars to compete.  Even as the cost of the batteries are expected to come down as much as 50%.

Yes, i prefer to think of it this way, my Seal would have cost me a further 49.18% if bought in the U.K. and no doubt the cheapest electricity plan there couldn’t compete with my TOU meter ( 2.6 baht per unit ) here.

Xiaomi don't even have a factory in China. They hired an ex-BMW developer to slap together a design and then they asked a state owned company, BAIC group to build it. It will be loaded with spy 🕵️‍♂️ ware.

Mine is 3.5 baht + ft

I would be very worried about owning an EV car in Thailand.   Especially for driving up north in the country.

 

As long as gas prices are not too expensive they will be on the roads for the next 40 years.

I didn't lie, you simply can't understand what I posted.   I posted screenshot from Charge Loma app that only showed chargers with fast plugs, as that is exactly, the only filter I chose; 1 plug type, the fast plug.

 

I later posted screenshots from 3 separate vendors, again, contradicting your silly statement.  You can count past 10, so add them all up, and they'll probably be close to the Charge Loma apps count, since the 3 main vendors.

You don't have to show me a map, I am not driving any car in Thailand at the moment. But when I buy one it will not be electric.   Unless the battery capacity will increase on cheaper cars 3 x as much as today.
