Walking Street, Pattaya — The Walking Street roadwork completion has been postponed from August to September 2022 while it is currently at almost 30% progress, the Pattaya City Council Chairman said.

Council Chairman Bunlue Kullavanich inspected the Walking Street resurfacing project, yesterday, June 15th, in South Pattaya to directly seek updates from the contractor, D.D. Infrastructure Company and clarification on what was holding the project back.

According to the chairman, Pattaya City and the Electric Generating Authorities of Thailand (EGAT) had made good progress in removing wires underground prior to the Walking Street resurfacing project. The details of the resurfacing project included removing the old pavement blocks, leveling the ground with sand, and then laying new blocks with an artistic pattern.

This guy would like it finished quick smart, he's bored with his sleeping surroundings, looking forward to the change.

Leveling the ground would be nice.

Do they mean "removing". Or is it removing them from above ground to bury them?

I think January 5th, in time for Chinese New Year, is more likely!

Good start for this new Mayor and all his campaign promises!

Sprinkling a bit of sand here and there..... loads of experience after the beaches of Pattaya and Jomtien have been done.

Thai productivity at its best, like they had more than 2 years to get it done when the street was deserted, but no, if they had done it that it wouldn't have been Thailand...

Unfinished road works? that's very unusual for Pattaya

No doubt like the emergency decree it will be extended again and again.

So much for the new (old) regime of Muppets in city hall.

Postpone! More like the old mayor took off with $$$, same guy that said stadium would be finished this year been waiting fifteen????

They usually only delay it a month at a time, so get ready to see this statement for a few more months to come. Took them this long to get to a supposedly 30% complete mark.

All this time and they aren't even 30% finished???  Pathetic.  Meanwhile, how about all the other super-slow road work?  Week after week, month after month, the giant holes still look like giant holes with no visible progress.

It's the same regime.

It is designed to be perpetual to allow them to continue to drain the coffers and fill their pockets.

I saw this guy this morning, fast asleep.

He found a level patch, one of the old derelict restaurants.
