My Thai Tax Office Tax Filing Experience...
Many are not claiming this. There is most only one person persistently making such a claim. I think the point is if the Thai government wanted to ensure long term expats file a tax return, there is a way they could do such. However nothing official has been coming out of the many immigration offices in this regard for extensions. Just the opposite, where many have posted of successful 1 year extensions with no mention of Thai tax certificates being needed.- 1

Ukraine Backs U.S. Ceasefire Proposal, Awaiting Russian Response
I'm not sure if I've replied to this topic, but I'm pretty sure Russia won't agree to any kind of ceasefire unless there's an actual deal that gives Russia the security it wants. In this context that means no NATO in Ukraine and no European troops in Ukraine, regardless of what costumes they're wearing. AndI'm pretty sure Russia won't make any deal with Zelenskyy at this juncture. He's not a legitimate president, is he? Anyway, that's my take. There'll be a deal on Russia's terms or there will be no deal. Trump knows the war is over, and he wants the killing to stop. -

Phuket Police Crackdown Nabs Three Foreign Nationals in Immigration Bust
Beginning to feel a bit uncomfortable. Albeit at my 76ers of age, not going out to night clubs, making sure my immigration status is up to date etc, but I am beginning to feel uncomfortable reading about all these crack-downs everywhere. E-cigs, raiding night clubs where tourists and locals alike are, raiding for breaking immigration laws, I’m beginning to wonder if I have landed in a “police state”. Personally, I don’t have anything to fear, I hope, but I am getting the feeling that the peace and quiet is being disturbed. Maybe it’s just overzealous reporting? -

Nobody will trust a US treaty again,’ and Japan’s yen is now the new safe haven currency
Congratulations! You found one contrarian. And Ricardo's observation are more relevant than ever in the modern world economy where self-sufficiency is a pipe dream. And spare us the comparisons of this fellow to Galileo or the like. For every one Galileo, there are thousands of cranks. The problem with tariffs on steel and aluminum is obvious. It takes relatively few workers to produce steel and aluminium. So very few Americans benefited. But the higher costs of these raw materials will obviously promote inflation. Certainly in the automobile industry but far beyond that, too. Ya think the problem with automobiles in the USA is that they're priced too low?- 1
