Diesel performance chips, Plug and Play, which is the best in the market today

Featured Replies

Looking to power up my 2019 Ranger 2.2 pick-up

Any suggestions on the performance chips in the market

I used to have a racechip in another pick-up, but their prices have gone up and HP increases down

Are there other players in the market??

thks

Autowerks Asia in Bangkok is one tuning workshop.

Racechip plug and play type thingys I did find had a noticiful affect on my 3 ltr diesel but nothing to rave about.

On a 2•2 probably less so.

Bi-turbocharged tuning or twin turbo set up would be better I guess.

There's company's that swap out truck engines and stick V8 Chevi engines in Thailand if you really want to fly. ????

I can give you advice from the view of a motorcycle rider.

Install a big and loud exhaust.

You will instantly know that your vehicle is faster and accelerates faster.

Ask all the boys with little loud bikes and they will confirm this. ????

Definitely the cheapest option????

I have a 2011 Ford Ranger 2.2 XLT. Can cruise at 140kph on the highway which would bag me lots of speeding tickets. Why bother with unnecessary mods?

I presume these are the things that cause some pick ups to kick out loads of dust every time the driver accelerates.

Poisoning the population so you can get your 0-100 kph down from 16 seconds to 12 seconds is kinda pointless. It will be faster, but it won't be fast.

usually it's to do with organ size

Horsepower - too much is not enough

All Grandpas can go back out to their mobility scooters

Reminds me of a conversation in Southern Africa years. Our professional guide carried a 600 Nitro Express. A client asked him if he used this for everything. Guide said yes. Client ask why.

Guide said because they don't make a 700.

No, that's the reason for some people buying a pick-up in the first place. Performance mods indicate the small penis syndrome has not won over admirers so an over-fueled diesel performance upgrade is just a further step to impress others with all that black belching polluting smoke ????

Try gettuned tuning service on facebook. They will remap.

What is the 80-120km/h time? This is what you need for overtaking.

Most diesel trucks are set at there best by manufacturers.

A manual box will give you better overtaking speed although you can use most auto to do manual changes.

If OP wants more power chop the 2•2 in for a 3•2.

When I’m driving on the roads, I’m not in a race. When I need to overtake another vehicle, I do so only when it’s safe, depending on the traffic situation and the vehicle that I’m driving.
I have a 150cc scooter as well as a 1000cc bike. I’m able to overtake other vehicles safely on either bike.

Ps: my scooter can’t reach 120kmh even when wind assisted ????

why comment if you deem the subject to be unnecessary?

Thanks guys

Despite the frustrated replies from the usual suspects I got some good links ????

Anyway I prefer the plug and play chip and found a few nice links on the internet as well

Wurlitzer or Hammond?

I thought you simply needed enough space to overtake safely. If you need to 'boot it' for an overtaking maneuver, there probably wasn't enough space in the first place, no? Don't see how a chip can make any overtaking space any safer. Just encourages one to take greater overtaking risks. A bend is still a bend and the ever-diminishing gap is still ever-diminishing just a lot nearer or faster than before.

I think it's got more to do with a loose, empty sensation in their underwear.

That and a penchant for black, sooty exhaust smoke and a grubby tailgate.

To keep the thread alive ???? found an alternate chip supplier..

I will test it and post when done

After that we can all get together in our underwear?

I used a chip from these guys on my old Toyota 3.0L.

Made a very noticeable difference in power with no change in fuel consumption

easy to install.
