Who said that Thailand is the 'land of smiles'?

This is uncivilized behavior, just call the police to handle this.

Beating someone is a criminal act, no matter what the reason is.

That video should be on the first page of Tourism Authority of Thailand's website.

We've seen this before with overcharging, bill padding, changing the price etc.  No way would a Thai food vendor try this on a drunk foreigner late at night.  ????

Where did it say she was drunk, on ya-ba and wrongly accused him?

Where was it reported that he was overcharged with a padded bill and that they altered the price?

Alcohol or drugs to blame on BOTH sides!  Pattaya is getting back to normal!

Where does it say she wasn't?

Look at her actions.

Presumably if that was the case the foreigner would have mentioned it in the exchange about it on the video!  He didn't.

All I am saying is, keep an open mind.

Maybe he has bought the same food off vendors before, and knows the price.  He didn't ask the price first from this women, got the food, she may have then given him a crazy price - there's the scam.

He refuses to pay the crazy price and it kicks off.

Why do you keep making stuff up and posting it as possible fact. There is no basis in any news article for any of your thoughts

hello loser leaver

It's up to her what she charges and whether he accepts to pay.

What people consider 'crazy prices' will vary immensly.

Maybe you could give her some of your golden advice for running a business?

Maybe because Thailand is the land of smoke and mirrors.  Maybe because I read between the lines.  Maybe because I keep an open mind.  Maybe because there's usually two sides to a story.

Why do take everything hook, line, and sinker?

So, the foreigner's crime is not asking the price first, and then refusing to be scammed, and for that, HE IS called a thief, and deserves to be beaten up.

As I have said, we have seen incidents like this in bars, many times.

Do you think he walked past and grabbed some food and put it in his pocket while he thought she wasn't looking?  ????

None of us know what really started the trouble, just pure speculation again.

Don't believe what you read in Thai news articles especially when falangs are involved.

What we do know is he was subject to a cowardly attack, instigated by a f@t gobby sk@nk!! That we know for certain!

Isn't that what happened ? and he still got attacked.
