I doesn’t matter what stats we look at the stats for Pit Bulls are quite damning. They really need a knowledgeable owner who has the time, funds, discipline, inclination and responsibility to look after and train such a dog. Sadly, as the stats and news show, there are too many who simply fail at any or all of these measures. With other breeds, irresponsible ownership results in serious and tragic consequences less frequently. People really should have a licence to be able to keep 'dangerous dogs’. 3 2

Popular Post bstafford214 Posted September 20, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 20, 2022 There is not much that can be done. This dog has done it more than once, maybe others we don't know about. The dog needs put down before it kills a child, they are known for this. The owner would be unable to guarantee the safety of others, especially children. It would be a shame if someone was killed and everyone that knows this dog has attacked and will probably do it again. Seems to be the alpha of the house. 4

thailand49 Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 Owning such a beast and then giving it's name shows the type of thinking of the two. Glad it happen to them and not someone else. My wish put the whole package to sleep. 1

Popular Post proton Posted September 20, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 20, 2022 Pit Bulls are always at the top for attacks and killing humans, all this there are only bad owners not bad dogs, they just need to be trained is nonsense. These dogs are vicious potential killers. If they are so harmless why do people give them names like Tyson, Fury, Storm and Nazi? Banned in several counties they should be banned here, and anyone who lets them near kids should be prosecuted. 2 2 1

So watching them starve to death in front of your eyes when you could easily prevent it is the righteous path, is it? I'm sick of expats telling me I shouldn't feed stray dogs. Support local animal charities, encourage neutering and spaying and help those who are already alive to survive. That's the way and the light. 3

IvorBiggun2 Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 Quote Viewpoint 1: Pitbulls Are Not Genetically AggressiveThey are then raised in an environment to induce aggression and this is what causes their behavior. Alternatively, their aggression may simply be that of perception, and each individual differs. I totally agree with the above. Quote The 5 Most Dangerous Dog Breeds in the UK Jack Russell. These tiny balls of energy were originally bred for ratting so it's not surprise that a lack of exercise and training can lead to unwanted aggression piling up. ... Staffordshire Bull Terrier. ... Pitt Bull Terrier. ... German Shepherd. ... Rottweiler.

Of course, these dogs when extremely well trained are awesome, I’ve no doubt we’ll hear from such responsible owners soon - however, there are always owners who are completely irresponsible. Ultimately, such dogs are highly dangerous, as such, any owner of a dog considered a ‘dangerous breed’ really should have a license to own such an animal. To obtain such a licence they’d need to undergo training of how to look after and train such an animal and prove that they can secure the animal and house it properly when both present and out, they also need to prove they can afford to look after it properly and have the time to care for it properly. I know thats a ridiculously tall ask for a country which doesn’t even enforce helmet laws correctly - nevertheless this is where we should be. Owners really need to be fully responsible for their pets. All pets should have a collar. IF that dog gets out (I know, not this story), the owner is fined. If that pet bites or hurts someone else, the owner is fined at a commensurate level. IF dogs on the street do not have a collar, they should be removed (debate ongoing in another thread).. No doubt someone like Bill Smart will come along to tell us how humans made this dog problem, how its in a book he wrote that humans are the scourge of the planet and if there were no humans we wouldn’t have these issues.... Dogs, like humans can just be bad. They aren't robots that can be programmed, they can get mentally ill just like humans. The idea that training a powerful dog to never attack is nonsense. There's all sorts of reasons it can happen and it can happen in an instant. 2

Popular Post GinBoy2 Posted September 20, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 20, 2022 I dunno why this is even a story. This story gets played out time after time in every country regarding pitbulls. "He's just a pussy cat loves everyone" until they decide to rip someone's throat out. Never hear about a Maltese killing anyone. These dog breeds are bought as trophy animals to be paraded around. Not just in Thailand but everywhere. To be honest at least in this case it was the owner that was the victim, it most cases when they go rogue it's some innocent bystander 4 1
