Popular Post webfact Posted September 26, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 26, 2022 By Tanakorn Panyadee Pattaya — A 70-year-old Australian man was allegedly punched in the face by an intoxicated tourist after trying to stop him from fighting with a motorcycle taxi rider. The assault took place Friday night, September 23rd, at an intersection on Soi Buakhao in South Pattaya. The injured elderly man was only identified as Mr. Tony (70) and sustained a non-life threatening injury to his face. He was aided and taken to a hospital by rescue services. Local media asked an eyewitness, Mrs. Suwan Jessen (54), about the incident. She said Mr. Tony saw an unidentified foreign tourist quarreling with a motorcycle taxi driver and went to stop the situation from escalating. However, the tourist punched Mr. Tony in the face for his intervention and walked away. The tourist also seemed heavily intoxicated, Mrs. Suwan added. Richard 2020 Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 Especially in Thailand it can be "life threatening" to get involved in other disputes! Who does not know that with 70 years, can not be helped! 1 1

It isn't always a joking matter.. It's a tad unfair to 'guilt trip' people for being light-hearted. We could probably find a heartbreaking story for every topic posted here or on forums in general. Let's remember, the people posting here are not the guilty ones. 3

It isn't always a joking matter.. I hope they give him the automatic one hit 10 year sentence for his troubles, at the very least, regardless if he didn't mean to kill him with his punch, what did he expect his punch would do to his skull on his way down to the pavement below him, or didn't he thing about that when his anger got the best of him. 10 years should give him plenty of time to think again before he throws a punch, and if he's married, not visitation rights for his wife and kids, simply because the deceased wife and kids can't see him anymore. Judge and jury right here. 1 1 1

Popular Post Pla Simon Posted September 26, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 26, 2022 Poor, poor Mr. Tony. I do feel sorry for him... I just hope he wasn't wearing glasses aswell, at the time. He is to be praised for his heroic and quick witted action - diffusing what might have been a much bigger situation for someone else entirely. Get well soon, old chap. 3 2 1
