Patong – An overstaying German and a Thai woman were arrested with a gun, bullets, parts of guns, gun powder, and drugs at a house in Patong.

The Patong Police Chief Colonel Sujin Nilbodee told the Phuket Express that Mrs. Rat, 44, from Ubon Ratchathani and Mr. Mateas, 39, a German national have been arrested at a house in Soi Khwan Yang in Patong Friday (November 11th).

Seized from them were a handgun, 16 bullets, parts of guns, 12.3 grams of gun powder, and 0.80 grams of crystal methamphetamine. They were taken to the Patong Police Station.

Colonel Sujin told the Phuket Express that the arrest came after police were notified that the German man sent a picture of a gun over a LINE application to threaten someone. That unidentified individual then reported the threat to police.

He has no chance of paying a fine and deported now,he is pretty much buggered now for a long term stay in prison.Silly man over staying and having a gun and drugs in the house

No way. This is a conspiracy. Foreigners going to Thailand for sex, booze and drugs. No way. That would never happen.

Hope his wife did not “rat” him out ????

His “deep water” T-shirt fits his new situation perfectly…

I've always found dogs to be very good judges of people.

Probably found a "spare" 200K baht.????????

Flack vests, raiding houses in formation, guns drawn, perp on the floor, knees to the back until handcuffed.

I think the Joke's police force have been watching too many US police videos on YouTube.

Surely if there's any info there's a gun or guns in the house that would be the way to deal with the situation.

Compare with the NZ guy who had a house full of weapons, including grenades.

Don't pick older women.  Is it a crime to have gun powder?

Why do these people live in such pig sty's. Have they no self esteem.

I haven't seen the video of the police first entering the house, so can't comment.

Perhaps the officer who led the raid was more concerned about not getting shot than the one that led the New Zealander raid.
