This man seems like a nice enough guy so it is sad to watch this decline into a geriatric haze while holding one of the most powerful positions in the world. This man should be sitting somewhere with his grandchildren not spouting nonsense that is causing worldwide tensions

IMO it would be even sadder if Trump was still in power, the Ukrainians would get no help from him. He's too busy kissing Putin's butt, and wishing he had the same powers.

Unlike Trump, he also has good advisers, so it probably does not matter if he has cognitive decline. The situation was similar with Reagan and Eisenhower in the later stages of their time in office.

President Biden probably expressed the thoughts and hopes of millions of people in the USA, the UK, the EU, the Ukraine especially and hopefully in parts of Russia also, IF they were allowed to see the broadcast.

IMO the whole world breathed a sigh of relief when Biden was elected President, whatever his deficiencies according to the rabid right, he comes across as a decent human being.

I'm definitely not a trump supporter and I have no respect whatsoever for the Republicans, however I will state my position/thoughts on this thread, because although I believe that Biden is a good president, and has good advisers, it is somewhat of an embarrassment to see the poor man "forget his lines, and stumble around a little" and unfortunately it is seen by the MAGA as a mental weakness, when in fact it is something which comes with age.

After his length of public service, Biden deserves to be president and cut some slack for an occasional verbal gaffe. Especially since he has had a lifelong speech impediment, a fact willfully ignored by Biden haters. His best attribute? He listens to advisors and experts. That's a breath of fresh air after the previous guy.

That was because of covid. This time he has the advantage of incumbency. Most presidents get elected for a second term except the really bad ones. He also has a long record of bipartisan success in legislation, especially highlighted by bills passed just this last week. Not to mention standing up to Russia in support of Ukraine.
