jacko45k
There is a reason to get rid of them... in my case the Mrs is absolute petrified and can't even look at them. I find that type quite easy to catch and relocate them away from the house. Bigger snakes are very rare, my neighbour has had a few cobras and he calls the Sawang Boriboon to come get rid... He once called me and my trusty grabber stick and I accused him of being nuts expecting me to irritate one of those!
Thingamabob
Why on earth would you want to get rid of them ? Please do not harm them. They are an asset. They will help you to keep down rodents and other pests.

But, anyway, I'm 100% correct, yes? A snake is either venomous or it isn't, golden tree snakes are and stating that fact is not pedanticism. ignoring intent to overstate fact most certainly is. How could you ever know what "my intent" could be, are you inside my head? To correct you, once again, as you have a tendency to post falsehoods, golden tree snakes are one of the venomous types of snake.
Popular Post Tropposurfer
A good rule of thumb as a gardener working in the garden ... if there are venomous creatures about (I hail from Oz, there we have the most venomous and deadly snakes on the planet x 4!) Always move slowly, never dive your arms into the garden beds, plants. When you go to work in an area or prune a tree observe from a few feet back, brush shrubs with your rake or broom or other tools first. If pruning trees bump the branches a few times with your extension pruner or loppers. Use rakes when bringing leaf fall out of beds not your hands. Seeing as you have lots of venomous snakes in your area then get yourself a good snake-bite kit and keep it in prominent place. Learn what to do if bitten. The pool scoop is a good idea. Non venomous snakes are good to have around, and quite timid, they remove cockroaches, mice n rats, and some other snakes too lickety-split. In Oz black and yellow & red belly black snakes kill the very deadly brown snakes n' eat em' so while venomous to us too they serve a purpose in the animal world. I wasn't a fan of the walled villas and houses I saw when I first began coming here but when building our home I realised that fairly smooth rendered 8 foot high walls all around, no vines or trees close to the walls on the outside for them to slither into the garden was a good thing. A front door & gate with tight tolerances in the frame and a carefully attached skirt. Tight fitting panel type garage doors instead of cheaper roller types helps to keep any curios slithering friends out. Oh ... by the way electronic snake deterrence devices are said by many experts to be ineffective. 3 1

Aussieroaming
Snakes like places to hide and nest, so keep your yard as debris free and trimmed as possible and plug or screen any access points that you can and keep your lawn mowed frequently as well. Snakes will be looking for food, so get rid of any vermin like rats and mice. 1

I pity the fool (snake) that would come into our property. And as it happens , I have a couple of dogs I would be willing to part with. Free!! and I deliver. Or you could try, something like this. (but I still like the Mongoose idea) also look for snake repellent on Lazada. I've lost about 5 dogs over the years to snakes. The smart dogs know which snakes to attack, and which ones to leave alone.

Luuk Chaai
we get an occasional cobra,, maybe 2x a year but frequented by the lovely Malay Pit Viper i grab them with a 2meter Stainless Steel gripper and walk them down about 500 meters then drop them in the bush .. here tell anything they bite is pretty much guaranteed to turn black and fall off but........................... I'm more afraid of the Weaverpu ( i think Latin is Pickup overloeadus maximus ) they have been clocked at speeds of 130 kph while emitting gobs of black smoke to avoid detection while they weave in and out of traffic to be first at the next traffic light
ThailandRyan
Had a Golden tree snake decide it wanted to play inside of one of the Air Conditioning units compressors today. It was successfully retrieved by a guy down the street who does snake removals. This one came over the wall using one of the coconut trees on the outside of the wall to go up and then down a coconut tree on the inside of the yard. KhunLA
If they weren't venomous, and paranoid about anyone close, thinking we're out to get them, then their day would end a little bit better when we encounter them.
