Probably a few idiots on night of 12th...then 'anything goes' from 13th thru to the 19th evening. (and then Naklua on the 20th).

It's not craziness no point explaining you won't understand anywaye.

Thailand doesn't have Songkran anymore.  It was banned 4 years ago.

It's the most stupid event in the Thai calendar where adults behave like children / retards ( mostly farangs! ).

Different areas, different dates. Not one of the important dates I try to remember.

It's always basically the same in all areas of Thailand, but some places extend it either side of the correct date.

Mr Bingle could help if you, or bbi1 wanted to know.

But you just tried making fun of a 10 yr member for not knowing, as it turns out you don't either.

Google it!

Loudest Sunday I can remember in years...... Let's go!!!!   I hope it's the loudest Songkran ever, and I'm sure the expats who came here "open to the Thailand experience" go crazy and cry online for weeks and weeks and weeks and months and years and decades and decades......

Pattaya here, my calender has large Red X from 11 april to 19 april.

No area in Pattaya is 100% safe from 11 april.

9 dreadful days.

Stay home until 9 pm when I go to Foodland and refill my fridge.

Some friends take refuge in nakhon no-where, or in a nearby country, for this period.

Bangkok 3 days and where it's allowed is controlled

Exactly.....Why not just make beach road the water throwing zone.....Then all the morons and idiots can go there every day and soak each other,,,

But no....The entire city of Pattaya is the war zone.....24 hours a day for 8 long long long long days.....

I hate every day of it......And I pretty much hate any farang that enjoys assaulting others with water.....

I dont even know where all the idiot water throwing farang come from....But there always seem to be plenty of  farang morons around every year...

Don't insult the children and retards by comparing them to the adults that act like idiots.

I did it once back in 2005.  Pffff.  Too messy and too long.  I don't mind a few days of wildness, or a weekend.  But a whole week is too much.  Can't walk to the stores, shops, mall without getting soaked.  Not the way to enjoy every day.  Definitely might not be something somebody with a short holiday might want.

Even retard children wouldn't throw water in the face of a motorcyclist going 40 kph. Always have a holiday booked to escape this madness.

Well omit the word 'retard' and I might say 'oh yes they would'!

I beg to differ. I get a free shower every day. I wear different clothes too, so they all get washed.  Then?  I'm good for another year.

The question where to go to escape Songkran in Pattaya?

8 days is a long time to sit in Cambodia.
