Popular Post webfact
FILE PHOTO: Flickr/[email protected] By Peter Roche The governor of Phuket has assured residents that there is no cause for alarm as a blanket of smog currently hovers over the island. According to a Phuket News report, Narong Woonciew met with local officials yesterday, during which he described the haze as a “natural phenomenon”. To be clear, the smog and haze enveloping Phuket and the south of Thailand over the past three days is NOT natural phenomena, it is the residue of smoke blown down from northern Thailand and fires burning across the borders and beyond. Phuket’s Governor has either been misinformed or is unaware of the true nature of Phuket’s current air pollution problem. At least currently there is no northern winds, winds come from west or south (if any). I can't find how strong or weak these winds are. But you can be sure if it is wind-still Phuket and many other densely populated heavy traffic areas will suffer from their own pollution. Just found that the winds are quite weak/slow (less than 10 km/h). Edited April 17, 2023 by KhunBENQ west 5

Popular Post Tropposurfer
Yep just another 'poli' interjecting "alternative facts" in the face of clear factual data i.e. little to no wind, no winds from the northerly direction (even vaguely so) sea winds travelling across hundred and thousands of open sea miles yet this ning-nong says its not air pollution but a natural phenomena. Sack the idiot! 5

Popular Post Lacessit
No doubt said governor has a string of medical and environmental tertiary qualifications to enable this informed statement. Perhaps he is under pressure from the tourist industry to assure visitors all is well. I can't see any other reason for making a dunce of himself publicly. 3 4

I am old enough to remember real smog back in the UK in the 1950s. No it wasn't natural and yes it killed many people. https://www.britannica.com/event/Great-Smog-of-London Great Smog of London, also called Great Smog of 1952, lethal smog that covered the city of London for five days, from December 5 to December 9, in 1952. It was caused by a combination of industrial pollution and high-pressure weather conditions. The smoke and fog brought London to a near standstill and resulted in thousands of deaths. Its consequences prompted Parliament to pass the Clean Air Act four years later, which marked a turning point in the history of environmentalism. 4

Forest fires, floods, avalanches, tsunamis, and volcanoes are equally 'natural', but given the option I will avoid them. I met my Lady in Phuket 6 years ago but after a short courtship I told her she had a choice: Move to Chaam and live with me or break it off. No way I was living in Phuket. She came with me and we're both happy living in the middle of a pineapple plantation west of Hua Hin. ???? 1 1
Popular Post thailand49
This is the result when you are basically handed picked with no real education or experience only thing you need is two hands, one to accept the payment another to make the deposit. From top to bottom this is the leadership. Look at Chan O look at Anutin! 2 2 3
