A girl is a child. You said you want to surround yourself with girls.

If that seems to pass the smell test, it doesn't work for me.

Are you involved with children?

You never heard the term bargirls? They aren't called barwomen. Most of them ar 20 to 45yo. Even a 45yo woman is a bargirl.

The actual number was not relevant. Perhaps I should have said $5. My point is that the wages on offer are unlivable for urban Thais.

It doesnt appear to be unlivable for my Thai daughter.

He could play golf or go cycling. You don't have to sit around drinking with people you don't like.

That's true, but I wonder how many expats do just that?

She lives entirely on her own salary as an uneducated woman without any financial help from anybody for anything? Before you arc up about my use of the word uneducated, most if not all Thai bar girls are uneducated and therefore have minimum wage job prospects.

If you first  came to Thailand 14 years ago, how did you manage to get a 24 year old Thai Daughter ?

There would be a lot less lovely young ladies putting on whore makeup

Perhaps you can explain what that is, as I never saw anything different from what non prostitute women wore on their face.

It's a term I don't use.  Chonburi Women & Childrens Division is always looking for people who are exploiting girls.

I don't go near them unless they are at least 35

If you choose girls, that's up to you.  The authorities are always looking for this.

It's the only term used. Bargirls. I've never seen any under 18. Bars are not my scene anyway. I have a mrs.

Even 70yo women call themselves girls.

She came free (age 11) with a woman I employed to share my bed.

Woman moved on, the kid stayed.

The Thai bargirls I've encountered seem to be doing rather better .........

1st one I lived with owns 2 houses and her own bar in CM (no education, husband retired English policeman)

2nd one I lived with owns a small resort (degree in marketing, Dutch husband)

One I currently live with owns a house in CM, rice farm in Petchabun, half a forest in Nan and a pension of 20kbht/month if she sticks with me (high school education, dropped out of university after 2 years)

None of them appear to be lacking in education or prospects.

Did you finish high school?

A couple of my Oz pals can't even read or write.

None of them entirely live on their own resources so completely irrelevant to the discussion. Please spare us more of this pain.

Seems that some think a person that didn't go to school till after uni is ignorant, while the truth is far from that.

I didn't go with any bargirl that was stupid. Perhaps I was lucky, or just careful.

Hardly any women in the world live on their own resources.

My mother didn't, and I'll bet your mother didn't either.

I actually went to Pattaya for Songkran and partook of the festivities on Beach Road.  Could I have done it in BKK no, it is not a small group and is too manic and crowded.  In Pats, I found a bar with good food good staff and plenty of water and cold beer.  A handful of us sprayed water ranging from little kids to old Canuck.  Good time was had by all and mostly everyone we splashed or sprayed enjoyed cooling off a bit.

My point is that any jobs on offer are at slave wages. My further point is that it really isn't a free choice decision.

It is a free choice decision.   You always have the choice to work 'unskilled/low pay'  or get skilled/better pay.

You always have choices ... failure to exercise them is completely different,  but still a choice.

Fair Call.

But.....single moms are usually a multiple headache.????????

That's why I prefer to support them before they are moms. ????

Maybe I should call them abandoned daughters. Or girls who don't like country life and explore the big city life.

I might be speaking symbolically ..a woman may be said to put on her whore makeup when she takes on a role which she thinks will please men resulting in a transfer of dollars. They may be less likely to take on such a role, that for many would be somewhat soul destroying, if there were better opportunities to improve themselves or to get a decent wage working decent hours.

If your into milfs that's up to you doesnt mean old Jack or Jim who is 85 has to be ,he legally can be into 18yo girls ,just because you don't agree with it .

As for the terms "girls,' or boys the gay community uses the term boys but unfortunately your perception and other Karen's it has a pedophile connotation they changed Boystown to a Z Boyz ... ridiculous..

They obviously don't in most cases considerign it's difficult to find a business in Pattaya at least without a help wanted sign out front.

What are you talking about?  There are huge numbers of Thai women who choose to work jobs that pay low wages.

Businesses advertising for workers is not evidence of women not being able to get by on low wages and being forced into prostitution.  While women working in low wage jobs and not opting to be prostitutes is evidence that they can and do get by on these wages.

Just go to a 7/11, café, supermarket, market, factory pick up point, literally anywhere, you will encounter hundreds or thousands of women working low-wage jobs and not being prostitutes.

Even if every woman in Pattaya chooses to be a prostitute over a job in a factory, that isn't evidence that they have to do that.  It only proves that they do that.

Rubbish, it's all about no minimum wage laws mandating a respectable wage and lack of social security. Please consider keeping your hegemony down to a dull roar.

Rubbish.  Plenty of people work these low wage jobs and get by just fine.  There are probably more women working these low-wage jobs than being prostitutes.

There is a very different attitude towards prostitution in Thailand than in our home countries.  Many women could even get better than average jobs but choose to become prostitutes.

I'm not sure why you cannot understand this.

Late 50's guy posting photos of their fantasies of late teen looking girls dressed as their anime fantasies makes me feel a bit squeamish.  But at least you're honest. As long as you are aware that the likes of you and I are totally invisible, if not actually unpleasant,  to such girls that's fine I suppose.

So no wage too low to live on and support families with? Got it.

Don't blame me.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating.

There are Thai women who work in low-wage jobs and aren't prostitutes, so your logic of women being forced into prostitution due to low wages simply doesn't hold up to scrutiny.
