Biden blasted for calling ‘white supremacy’ ‘most dangerous terrorist threat’

Featured Replies

Conservative Twitter users ripped President Joe Biden for claiming that White supremacy is the "most dangerous terrorist threat" in America during a commencement address at Howard University this weekend.

Critics accused Biden of using the opportunity to inflame racial tension in the United States.

The 46th president addressed the  graduates from the historical Black college at Washington D.C.’s Capital One Arena Saturday, speaking to them about the threats they face from the division among their own country.

Racial tensions have been increasing since the previous president encouraged racism. It's a very twisted argument to accuse someone of calling that out of increasing racial tensions.

To me personally I’m amazed that the people of color don’t seem to commit as many acts of domestic terror like the white supremacist do for the most part lawful protest is their go to method to address rightful grievances (I’m in solidarity with them)btw

They make up for it in different ways.

Confirmed by statistics

"Most violent far-right perpetrators were motivated by white supremacist or anti-government sentiments, and they committed most of the fatal attacks in 2021. Of the 30 fatalities in 2021, 28 resulted from far-right terrorist attacks."

Not necessarily.

Maybe just people who don't think it's true.

You don't have to label everyone with a different opinion to you as racist or something else like that.

Nice strategy tho.

It could possibly be considered true, if white-on-black violent crime or homocide was greater than black-on-white.

But the figure don't lie, maybe Biden does.

What's the difference between Hispanic and Latino?

I thought they were the same.

I despair of what has become of the West. It's like Groundhog Day.

It has nothing to do with the west, the problem lies with social media trying to sensationalize story to create a buzz and get clicks to read their story

Name ONE (1) entity who might criticize Biden for suggesting that white supremacists are the biggest domestic terror threat.

Care to name a bigger domestic terror threat?

Extremism in the United States

Despite fears that extremism is on the rise in the United States, right-wing extremism is far more prevalent than jihadi terrorism. From 2011 to 2020, 20 percent of extremist-related killings were caused by someone affiliated with Islamist extremism, and three quarters of extremist-related killings were carried out by someone affiliated with right-wing extremism. Overall, there have been relatively few terrorist attacks in the U.S. since 1970.

without specifying how many % of Americans are Muslim (it is approx 1%) see note 1, your linked statement comparing islamist extremism and right wing extremism is misleading.

if 1% of Americans are causing 20% of extremist related killings then clearly this group have a much higher propensity to commit extremist violence.

The people blasting Biden on this comment will be staging a Tiki-torch march soon, chanting will be mandatory.

We're one Timothy McVeigh short of a major incident I fear.

I’m going to stick with the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security’s opinions on this matter they have all the data and intelligence

There’s your bigotry right there in plain sight, in your own words.

Islamist terrorism is committed by a tiny number of Islamist terrorist, it is not committed by the broader Muslim population.

Just all white folk are not to blame for the threat of terrorism coming from a hate filled minority of white supremacists.

Biden stoking the flames of racial tension again. Like the US doesn't have enough issues surrounding race.

Deeply irresponsible.

That’s a twisted kind of logic Johnny.
