Pattaya — Around three go-go bar guards allegedly attacked a Russian tourist, who reportedly refused to pay for the drinks he had ordered, on Walking Street at 3:30 AM this morning, June 18th.

The attacked tourist, Mr. Oleg Rusovsiannikov, 33, of Russian nationality, suffered swelling and bruises on his face and profuse bleeding.

 

He was aided by Pattaya Police after he was allegedly attacked by 2-3 guards of an unidentified go-go bar on Pattaya Walking Street at 3:30 AM today.

 

Several people and friends of Oleg were surrounding him when the police arrived. He was taken to the Pattaya Police Station to provide a formal testimony with a Russian translator.

Go-go bars are NOT the place to go if you want to be treated fairly when the bill comes. I'm still SMH that these places are allowed to exist with all the fleecing of customers that goes on.

You do realise people get drunk and lose track of how much they ordered and the cost thereof? They often prey on drunk customers, adding significant amounts to their tabs. I've seen this first hand going out with drunk friends when I'm keeping tabs of their bills.

 

This Russian already paid the bill in pain and blood.

Why are you asking what planet I live on? I'm merely explaining that when I chaparone friends who get drunk at gogo bars (I don't drink), I often encounter padding of bills. You have to keep a very close eye on the tab.

 

Drunk people are the best customers. At civilized bars in other countries, the staff are obligated legally not to serve people who are very drunk. They need to be treated respectfully.

 

In this case, the Russian might not have been drunk, and fully aware of an oversized bill.

 

I've been living on Planet Thailand and specifically Planet Pattaya for many years LOL

so what to do if your final bill arrives and has drinks you didn't order, this has been going on for years, unfortunately all too often in WS too many times just be the customers to blame, shooting theselves in the foot - very soom WS will get such a bad name people will avoid it as i have done for years, a bad reputation is hard to get rid of once it's there - not so hard to earn

The beating is probably nothing compared to what he would have gotten if he didn't dodge the Putin draft 

Did the BiB bother to quiz the bar owners as to why they were still open at 03:30 AM?

ive been there, these pumped up bouncers are just gagging to get started on someone. scares off customers when you hire idiots like that ..ive also seen them not so brave when a group fights back, and know how to fight.. easy to beat up 1 man that isnt a fighter 

Look the guy can not speak English......He was overbilled I bet but could not have a conversation about the problem......So tried to do a runner...And got a beating....

If your not sure about the prices ask to see the list, or pay as you go.

My guess is you both are wrong.. Since when ordering a drink they take the ticket and add the drink cost immediately. They leave it in front of you in a cup all the time you are there. Most likely some bar girls took advantage of this and ordered drinks without his knowledge or at the end of his time there they added an extra fee. Either way they should have just called the police to sort it out.. If it was me.. I would file charges against the bouncers for assault, and I would make a case against the gogo bar for allowing it to happen.

And I've been a Walking Street patron for years, have NEVER had a problem. I do check my bin every time they refresh it with a new round of drinks, so maybe they know I'm keeping my eyes on it?

The guards were merely performing a "special military operation"

Quite likely, I saw that happen to a Russian couple..... they read a sign for draft beer, then pointed at the bottle  Infront of me indicating 2. An argument when they saw the tab. Another time I saw one man getting roughed over as he had been removing tabs from his cup crumpling them up and dropping them under the stage.

GGB's don't like such behaviour.... no place to get reckless if one has short pockets.

It's been a long time since I sat in Sweetheart's and had no concern wrt the tab...... Walking St is seriously expensive and there are a lot of tricks to get fools and their money apart.

This is not an issue of paying your bill but one of paying an unjust inflated bill…

What most people don’t realize is that these places are allowed to get away with these scams due to either or the police have a big interest in them or these establishments pay the police every month to do what they want when I first got here many years ago, I was sitting next to a gentleman from England and he told the bartender that one is Bill got the 6000 just stop giving drinks and he wanted to pay his bill when the bartender then gave him a bill for over 12,000 is instantly surrounded by all the cards at the bar it was made to Totally scam. TIT.
