gargamon Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 If you were listening to the radio or watching America's top 40, you missed out on the good music from the 70s. Most of the good stuff never made it there. 1 1 1
asf6 Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 65% for me. I recognise 22 of them. I don't recognise 11. I am not sure about the other one.

GinBoy2 Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 Still love Karen Carpenter's voice. Sadly went too soon Recognize almost all of them 1
ALLSEEINGEYE Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 Parents used to always buy me K-Tel sound explosion LP's, 22 songs (11 on each side). So I remember pretty much every song listed, good ole' days
AgMech Cowboy Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 Great sounds and songs from 1975. I remember them all.
TigerandDog Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 I remember all but 6, and those 6 never charted or got air play in Australia because the record companies didn't think they would sell.
chickenslegs Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 A few classics missing from that 1975 list. ... E.g. ... Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody Also, Jasper CarrottFunky Moped / Magic Roundabout
GinBoy2 Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 (edited) I just listened to Funky Moped. That must be a ethnic special Edited July 15, 2023 by GinBoy2

oldies1 Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 What about could have been POP hits from the 60s (and a few early 70s) ? I collect obscure singles (pop and psych pop) for over 40 years. Songs that were ignored, overlooked or completely forgotten... it took me years to convert and digitally clean those songs but I've managed it and now share them on youtube (I also edit a video every one of them with 1960s footage). I don't gain a penny by doing this but it keeps my brain creative ???? Feel free to have a look... I repeat: obscure POP and pleasant popsike records.. NO hits because those are to be found all over youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGH9LKqcnLS4z3GxcUunH0g 1
novacova Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 (edited) Too many songs to list by Led Zeppelin Steppenwolf Rainbow… I’d add Jimi Hendrix but he was dead in ‘75 though his music was quite alive Edited July 16, 2023 by novacova
sandyf Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 (edited) A few years back I put together a collection from an earlier era. Tracks have been truncated to about 1 minute with about 60 tracks. Hope someone enjoys. https://drive.google.com/file/d/18qgPkJyfDZQmAqBqOR0TRJskDzoVQjXP/view?usp=drive_link BTW the version on the link has been compiled for a phone so if interested may be better downloaded.
