A baht bus in Pattaya failed in a bid to overtake another vehicle before crashing head-on into a motorbike, instantly killing a 19-year-old female rider.

The tragic accident was reported to the Banglamung police at 02:30 AM Monday morning, July 24th, 2023. The Banglamung police coordinated with Sawang Boriboon rescue workers before hurrying to the incident scene along with Pattaya News reporters.

Upon arriving at the entrance of Soi 15/1 on Pattaya-Naklua Road in the Naklua sub-district, Banglamung District, Chonburi province, the police found the victim, Ms. Jeerawan Permsin, only 19-years-old, lying motionless on the road. Despite attempts at resuscitating her, the victim succumbed to her grievous injuries. Steady rain was pouring at the time of the incident.

Vehicle in front was probably driving to the rain conditions, the baht bus must have crossed the double yellows to hit this poor young girl head on. Throw the forking book at him!

Police will be no help against the Baht-taxi Maffia. The driver will say sorry, wai to the family of the girl and go on with his filthy business. The Government should do what they started a few

The driver will say sorry, wai to the family of the girl and go on with his filthy business.

The Government should do what they started a few years ago and wipe all the baht-taxis out of business.
Where are aircon mini-busses Pattaya introduced a few years ago?

The problem is that they think they can do what they want without consequences, until something like this happens.

Then it’s too late. ????

They would have put HIM out'a it.

Typical not Head on but hit from nearside as seen from the damage  from the Baht bus. poor visibility, he overtook a vehicle on her side she probably never seen him till it was to late to avoid it. His judgement cost this poor girl her life plus the damage to her bike was not a result of a slow speed on both bike and baht bus.

In Thailand people tend to ride faster to avoid the rain, so that was a factor

A sad accident but stuff happens on roads all the time worldwide...as for shutting down the entire baht bus industry in Pattaya does anyone seriously think that would stop accidents....if no baht buses then more motorbikes , more cars, or bigger buses all of which are just as likely to have accidents or have drivers that do something dumb and dangerous.

So, it wasn't the baht bus driver's fault, then!

No need for a police investigation. You've got it all figured out.

The point is that you wrote stuff happens on roads all the time worldwide, as if what happens in Thailand is the norm. It isn't. It is far worse than most, maybe anywhere, else.

Like I said, what's the point...yes i agree thailand is awful on the road but what i wrote is still true as stuff happens on roads all the time worldwide...is thailand one of the worst?  YES.....and actually my post was to counter the ones who seem to think that eliminating baht buses would somehow result in fewer wrecks without thinking about exactly what would replace baht buses such as more cars, more buses, more motorbikes etc...

To be accurate and factual, it was the impact with the baht bus that killed her, the driver did not kill her.

Raining. Unsafe to pass.... But the little sh*t did it anyway.

Lockup him up. A menace

That's a very ridiculous comment. A 19 year old girl died because of that <deleted> driver!

You slow down in Rain due to visibility issues and Road Conditions.

Pretty much yes Entirely the Baht bus drivers fault don't need to be an Accident specialist overtook another vehicle in poor weather conditions crossed the rd markings never saw her coming or simply ignored her. At last minute tried to swerve to avoid a head on thats why damage was done to offside of his baht bus if it was head on the front would be crumpled and screen probably damaged from her impacting it.

That should read : To be ridiculous. That's like saying the bullet killed and not the shooter. I thought trolling was against forum rules. It was bad enough on the ko tao threads, now this??
