Thai deodorants.

Featured Replies

I have been using Boots anti-antiperspirant here in Thailand.
Seemingly it is no longer going to be available.
I would be interested to hear from others, as to what their preferences are, ideally ones that work and don 't cost a lot.

And while you're at it, someone explain how 48 or 72 hour deodorant/antiperspirant works please.

EXIT Ultra Blue about half the price of Nivea and works as good or better.  Actually I wouldn't be surprised if they came out of the same production line.

Deodorant should be applied in the evening, after shower/before sleep, in case you didn't know.

I'm afraid all day protection only comes from the gooey type that takes ages to dry. I use Nivea black charcoal.

Forget the designer stuff - if you can't go home and shower you will be very smelly by the time you meet your date in the evening.

As Nivea what? Are all Nivea deodorants the same to you?

Your other assertions are equally strange ????

Being I posted the roll on I use, and if you look above my post, something similar, you might ... might be able to work that one out.  Take your time.

Hint ... most people would compare the price of a similar product.

What kind of a man are you? You can’t find a deodorant?

Get a grip.

Not a fan of the anti-antiperspirant's myself... they don't work very good.

You don’t have a clue as to what you are going on about.
The picture above yours, posted by myself, is from just one of a wide range of Nivea deodorants. Specifically Silver Protect. It works differently from their cheaper standard deodorants in that it has ‘anti-bacterial’ properties. It’s the dying bacteria that makes you smell bad. Your suggestion bears no relation to that product. Instead it might be compared to the Nivea Cool Blue product.
Then your assertion that deodorant should only be worn in the evening ????????‍♂️

You don’t specify…

You should have probably Googled that, before commenting.

Have a nice day ... bye bye

No need for me to Google it when you can explain it to us all here. Looking forward to it.
Sunday drinker?

I can recommend one that you SHOULDN'T buy:

https://www.deoklear.com

This Thai stick deodorant is the first deodorant that I have ever bought that simply cannot be applied. It's just a solid block of something that just doesn't go on. They really need to rework their formula.

Do you apply water to the stick before the application?

I think you misunderstand the product. It’s anti-bacterial and will have a cumulative effect over time. But you need to wet the stick and apply it after you shower.

Unless your buying one for 239bt ????

Aha, thanks for the tip. I will try that. I bought four of them (on sale for half price). I was going to throw them away. Now I might not have to. Thanks again.

Yes you need to wet the pit, similar to when using Alum sticks

Great thread, very informative.

Slightly off topic, any suggestions on alternatives if KY jelly is not available?

Bicycle lube, decathlon

I try and bring as many as I can from the UK on my bianual trips..

150ml Rexona in Thailand is about B 163 / £3.70....  [B108/100ml]

250ml Sure (UK brand for Rexona) in the UK is £1.99 / B 88... [B34/100ml]

The deodorant in Thailand is 3x more expensive and I go through a lot as I do plenty of sport and shower 2-3 times on most days.. I bring about 10 tins back with me from the UK on each visit.

Recently I switched to using the womens Rexona simply because I'm cheap and object to paying more for the mens one for ultimately the same product.

Worthy of a thread: Hardly, but the additional expense of deodorant here is something that has always struck me as strange, particularly for a very warm and humid nation.

In this case, they recommend both. Wet stick, shake off excess water and apply after shower.
