An Indian tourist in Pattaya was seriously injured after brawling with his compatriots, reportedly over a Thai woman.

 

The injured tourist, Mr. Ranbir K., 52, suffered a broken right arm and serious injuries to his right eye. He was reportedly involved in a brawl with a group of Indian nationals on Soi 16 in South Pattaya, Banglamung district, Chonburi province.

 

The violence took place at 4:30 AM today, August 9th. Sawang Boriboon rescue services transported the victim to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital after patching him up.

 

Subsequently, at the Pattaya police station, the other party involved in the incident, Mr. Mohak G, 28, arrived to give his statement to the Pattaya police regarding the brawl.

 

Mohak alleged that he was the one who was attacked first by the supposed victim, Ranbir, who had allegedly approached him aggressively with a group of around 7-8 people. Mr. Mohak said that he only tried to defend himself and was able to escape without injuries.

Arguing and then fighting over a Thai woman at 4:30am in that area of Pattaya?  What a waste of time.  Thai women in that area are like baht buses.  There will be another one along in just a few minutes.

And yet again playing white knight backfires miserably. Let Thai women fight their own fights - stepping in the middle in Thailand usually does not end well.

Out for an innocent stroll at 04:30 am and this happens... shocking in such a peaceful area.

That is funny. At Swampy once, 6 Indian guys ordered one dish and asked for 5 extra plates. They each ordered a bottle of water and wanted separate checks. It was hard to keep from laughing out loud.
