Wish the rest of that ilk would stay away too.

I believe we do, many after first visit, but I figured I give it a fair shake.  Still didn't warm up to it after a few visits.   Patts city/beach, Jomtien, another section, & Walking St was just sad, though probably an off night.

Did find a nice perch bay side, and too dark to see most of the trash in the water, and nice shimmer of light on the rest.   Actually pleasant sipping, except for the OTT, way too loud katoeys, entertaining themselves in 'look at me' mode, as the rest of the pier was empty.

Did like the CarreFour when it was there, excellent 'take out' food section.

But nah, no reason to return, and the last place I'd recommend to anyone.

What will this information be used for?

To give nok noi a little ego boost. He hates farang but seems to care deeply about their opinions on various trivial subjects, hence his prolific posting.

Me being a polite person and always say good morning to people find most foreigners pretty ignorant (walk straight past you and even turn their head away from you so they do not have to acknowledge you)

Never said it was creepy ! I said it was strange ! Bigggg difference!

Where I live falangs are very rare and when you pass by falangs  at common locations you look at them to say hello , if they dont glance as they walk by then they dont care to say hello!

Sitting in TOPS cafe today I was surprised when a foreigner (a rarity here) said good morning as he went past, I was on the phone. Looking up I just said hello and he disappeared moaning I had not said good morning in return. Bet he posts on here ????

Let us base our assessment on the contributions we observe from both interesting topics submitted for discussion, together with those with equally interesting comments, from the numerous foreigners on this forum.

If our considered percentage is of a similar quality of that expressed so far then it seems there is only about 5% of us, at the most, with merit enough to be thought of as being "worth talking to"

Who wants to demonstrate they are in the minority??

Or will admit being in the 95% bracket?

0.01%. Why? Either:

'Holier than thou'.

Believe they are clever, superior, intelligent, knowledgeable about Thailand or SE Asia or 'funny', when they are not.

Uninteresting.

Bar stool Special Forces.

Drunks.

'Been there, done it all' clowns.

Occasionally, I meet someone who is on my wavelength.

Otherwise, I don't want to know.

However, I have had some good advice on this Forum from some, who appear different from the above.

Long may that last.

To those, many thanks!

Definitely not the ones who profess to be ex special forces and haven't got a clue what they're talking about! There seems to be an abundance of them.
