Popular Post webfact Posted August 13, 2023 Popular Post Posted August 13, 2023 FORMER election commissioner Somchai Srisutthiyakorn said in a Facebook post that Move Forward Party should consider naming Palang Pracharath leader Prawit Wongsuwan as prime minister with this leading to him competing against Pheu Thai’s candidate Srettha Thavisin for the helm of the government, Naewna newspaper said. He added that should this race really occur at the next House/Senate meeting to vote for a prime minister tentatively scheduled for Thursday August 17 it would interesting to see which of the two candidates gets the votes of Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party, which is de facto led by caretaker prime minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, and the 249 senators all of whom had been handpicked by both Prayut and Prawit. “Just thinking about it playfully is already fun,” he said. by TNR Staff Top: Palang Pracharath leader Prawit Wongsuwan, left, and Move Forward candidate for prime minister Srettha Thavisin, right. Popular Post Artisi Posted August 13, 2023 Popular Post Posted August 13, 2023 Could be good for a laugh to see how the military appointed senate treats one of their own. Would they our could they put MFP into power - a major conundrum for them. MFP should do it just for fun. 2 3
Popular Post TimeMachine Posted August 13, 2023 Popular Post Posted August 13, 2023 I don't think all the others really understand what mfp is? It's a new young leader that's thinking like a candidate should think. For the people by the people in an honest true way. Well as much is as possible. After all, a PM cannot affect a whole country 100% positively. There still will be corrupt people hidden amongst the trees. 11 5 2 1

They/He probably believes that Move Forward are no different Thinking that the Move Forward party may offer their votes in retaliation and thereby guarantee Prawit the Prime ministers job to enact revenge Maybe this was all part of the great plan to begin with? 2 3
Popular Post Dogmatix Posted August 13, 2023 Popular Post Posted August 13, 2023 MFP couldn’t do that, as they always try to consult their supporters on important policy matters - their straw poll on supporting Srettha after PT stabbed then in the back was 95% against. But what would be funny would be if small parties could get together with MFP and nominate Srettha, Ung Ing, the 3rd PT candidate, Prawit and Prayut and let them all slug it out. Without serious discipline they could all fail and end up ineligible for renomination, if the Constitutional Court throws out the Pita renomination petition. 3 1 3

It would certainly be fun to see people throw rotten eggs and worse at Mr. Somchai Srisutthiyakorn ... Thai people voted for change and have been betrayed by the old elite again . Burn your red shirts and demonstrate and vote , ( at the next election ) , exclusively for MFP . To hell with the old ugly faces , ( that includes Thaksin ) , of Thai politics . 6 3 1

No chance MFP would even do whats suggested Actually this idea has some merit. First prawit would have no power in the house. Second it would really hurt PT and put them as just that party that lost with no power in the house as MFp will be the opposition. Oh yeah and thaksin can take his home in Dubai off the market. He won't be coming back soon 2 1

shunter Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 So Thailand it seems may well be welcoming a new ''Mr.Toad'' to take the driving seat. But remember Mr. Toad had to dress up as a laundry lady to escape justice after his car crash. Next time it may well a financial and economy crash, new car, same driver. Somethings never change... 2

He had his moment of fame in the Election Commission and since then he has popped up now and again to remind people who he is If I remember right he applied to be a Democrat MP but even failed at that. 2
