Pattaya, Thailand-The Pattaya Provincial Court has denied an arrest warrant for a Russian man described as a person of interest in the falling death of a Russian woman in Na Jomtien on Sunday morning, August 13th. As a result, he will be at least temporarily released.

 

As of yesterday afternoon around 5:00 P.M., August 14th, 2023, the Pattaya Provincial Court declined a request from the Na Jomtien police to formally arrest Mr. Oeaop Nbahobny Fedor, 30, as a suspect in the death of a 32-year-old Russian woman, who was only publicly identified as Daria.

 

Daria plunged to her death from the seventh floor balcony of Fedor’s condo around 7:00 AM Sunday morning, August 13th, 2023. CCTV appeared to show Fedor holding Daria by her legs before letting go but it was unclear if he was trying to pull her back into the condo or if he was attempting to drop her, according to the Pattaya Provincial Court, which as a result declined to file an official arrest warrant for homicide due to lack of evidence.

Sad situation. Women go insane sometimes and if the guy is a bit of a loose cannon himself, this is the result.

 

It happens on cruise ships a lot too. 

Would like to see the actual CCTV shots off the accident, who was right, police or the guy..

As it's still under investigation that would be doubtful.

Seems odd a]that the CCTV would be that selective that it only showed the end of what happened and not how the woman (and man) ended up in that position.

Saw the short clip.. appears that they were making love with the lady against the window. The window sill was too low and as she was being pushed backwards, she fell backwards. She attempted to regain her stride head down which was when he grabbed her leg in the video… she was found dead and undressed in the lower part of her body. 

That was the commentary in Thai.. 

Very sad as he appeared devastated when they arrested him shirtless.

The judge will have seen all of the CCTV yet decided not to issue a warrant.

 

If he picked her up and dangled her over the balcony then it would be visible in the video.

 

Obviously this is not the case.

Hear a lot of Russians claiming they have been framed!

The CCTV shows the man holding her by the legs while she dangles from the window. He could have been doing it to scare her then dropped her accidentally, or he might have been trying to save her and lost his grip. 

 

One thing's for sure, we can have faith in the Thai police to honor the dead woman's life by investigating the case thoroughly and definitely not being 'persuaded' to forget about it and move onto the next one.

Fedor tested negative for any illegal drugs and denied murdering or harming Daria, stating she jumped of her own will before he could stop her despite his attempts to do so as seen on CCTV. He also claimed scratch marks and injuries on his body were self-harm and not caused by any physical altercation with Daria.

Well if he held her by her legs & did not pull her up, hos intentions seems pretty clear, because physically the reason why they were in that situation, he put them there!

An arrest warrant would have damaged the perfect image of the beautiful, peaceful family resort of Pattaya. Especially for the quiet, always sober and well behaved Russian clientele.

As I recall, there was a prior case here not too long back of a similar episode of balcony love making going wrong (if that's actually what occurred here...) And in that prior one, of course, it also was the woman who ended up going off the edge.
