The Move Forward party has agreed unanimously not to vote for Pheu Thai party’s prime ministerial candidate during the joint sitting of parliament.

The party will decide later whether to vote against Pheu Thai’s candidate or to abstain.

The resolution was adopted at a meeting of the party’s MPs today (Tuesday) at the party’s head office.

Unfortunately, MFP are the only party with integrity and it is hurting them.

Exactly what I have been saying. Don't even show up and leave 151 empty seats.

What hurt them was 250 junta senators, the EC and still to be seen the CC. As for PT they are now going down in history as a party of traitors to their support base.

We all know the next PM will be Anutin after all the fake democracy charade is over.

Pheu Thai's Srettha and the old guard Prawit may take the PM's seat for a spin around the block, but Anutin will be the next long-term driver.

MFP was a nice fantasy, but unfortunately they were never really in the running.

That's the truth right there.

I still think nominating prawit would be interesting. It would put the Senate in Abad spot because once they nominate him they cam abstain meaning PT coalition would be in danger does anutin support pt or leave them out to dry. Would prawit get enough votes to form a government.

MFP's constitutional duty is to vote and be true to the MFP political platform for which it stands. Abstaining shows undeserved good faith towards PTP.

Best news of the day by MFP stick with your principles and stick your finger up at all the other treacherous parties who will be wiped out come the next election

No it does not abstaining shows that it does not support PT.  In this case an abstention is a NO vote.  Look at how the MFP lost it was not because more people voted against them it was becausenot enough people voted for them.

MFP got what they had to see coming.  That is why the military et up the government the way they did it was their ability to control the game.

PT did the smart thing then all of a sudden they stopped listening to Dubai and tried to make seals on their own.  MFP can not vote against PT because PT is till the only "non-military party" left in the game.  Therefore they can simply state yes we would like to see PT as the prty in power but just as the senate had issues withthe PT joining with MFP we have issues with them joinging BJT and PPRP.  Therefore like the senate we can ot support this and will abstain.

The way to put the added nail in the coffin is have a couple of strong or back bench MPS nominate Prawit and then sit bck and watch the fireworks.

Thaialnd would be better off with Prawit as PM than Anutin.
