You seem very certain - it must have been at least 10 years ago, in a bar on Sukhumvit Soi 7.

They came in, sat down, one ordered a coke. They started to take alternate sips. The boss woman came over and told them to leave.

Mate, we both know this never happened.

A form of jealousy as those indian lads look happy, don't give a damm on what people think and have good cash to spend in Thailand and in the UK. There are rowdy people all over the world. One just has to walk into a UK sports bar to get an idea,

You have no clue right? Indian is a dump. They are happy to be out of there.

Exactly my thoughts!

if you want classy tourists etc, why are you in the biggest <deleted>e hole brothel in the world?

it attracts lowlife low end people, westerners alike!

I think you missed my point, tourists even in the back packer areas around the World, get out and enjoy themselves. I wouldn't say sharing a small beer and a smoke among 3 guys is enjoying yourself. In all my years in Pattaya I've met people from many different countries. Not once has an Indian spoken to me, actually I've never heard an Indian speak English. A holiday is normally once a year where we tend to live well above our normal means.

Slow down, I never made any racist remarks about them or even call them nasty. Sharing a small beer, demanding a WIFI pin and expecting a free game of pool is not the normal way tourists live.

You certainly implied it though.

Their walking etiquette is still poor, apart from that they don't bother me

Yes bugs me too. They will totally ignore the pavement and walk 3 abreast in the road blocking all traffic.

Are you calling me a liar?

You weren't there, I was, albeit merely an observer, I took no part in the exchange, merely watched it. I report what I saw.

I have no interest in creating or maintaining a stereotype; in fact

I have several friends here in Thailand who are of Indian and Sri Lankan origin. No racism, it is quite simply what I saw happen.

It is no big matter, it is something I saw happen once, as I said, over ten years ago. But for you to insist that it didn't happen, that I am making up a story, when you have absolutely no knowledge of the matter, or of me for that matter, is ridiculous.

hahahahaha, had to come back 10hrs later to defend yourself... butthurt much for getting called out !!

Every bar girl I've ever spoken to on the subject of Indians has said the same thing...

I no like Indian man. Him no manner. Him no pay.

that's how bar girls talk.

that's the correct bargirl grammar.

so you're probably not making it up.

Yes total fake story. The old trope about 1 beer and 5 straws.

never seen it and speaking to bar owners they all say they have never seen it either

daft old racism for attention

I have seen it, as an exception as opposed to a rule.

World Wide A Go Go. 4 Indians, 1 bottle of coke with 4 straws and 8 swart hands groping the girls.  I laughed, my high roller friend was very bitter.  The girls weren't complaining.

A more recent incident was at a small hotel with a bar on Soi 12.  There were 4 young Indian guys sharing a 400 baht room and slowly sipping small bottles of water.  The bargirl I was sitting with told me about them sharing the room and that they had no money.

They were nice enough looking young men, so I played a hunch and told the bargirl that "the lady over there says you sleep with the Indians when the bar closes".  The "lady" hadn't said anything to me, it was a fishing expedition and I reeled in a whopper.  The bargirl got very flustered and said "she's lying! She is the one sleeping with them, so are the other bargirls", most of whom were old slappers with high libidos.

Money or no, youth is a valuable commodity in bar areas.
