The epidemic of global traffic deaths annually is ~1350000. Now that’s a pandemic. There is a greater chance of dying on the road today than from a snot virus. Though the actual pandemic is the state of mind of the fear that is being perpetuated.

Blah, blah, blah....  My son and wife had a cold for the first 3 weeks of the month. I caught it, too, but I use a different treatment so my cough wasn't as bad or long (1 day, a little).  

 

Next thing you know they'll be telling you the sky is falling. (Oh wait... They're already doing that).

Yes. It's been widely stated that once you get that vax that your body will no longer be able to build proper immunity and you will be reliant on it for life.

But all of this was a play to induce the supply chain issues,  inflation, digital currencies, intstall draconian laws at will.

When I go out I can usually find a couple of discarded masks. Used to be loads of blue/white ones, but now they are outnumbered by the black ones. If they are not broken, or too grubby, I wash them in the dog bowl and, hang them in the sun.

 

A day or so later they are good to go.

KUALA LUMPUR, August 25 – The BA.2.86 variant has been detected in Thailand through wastewater sample analysis, adding to the list of countries that have reported the presence of the highly mutated Covid-19 strain.

 

Dr Leshan Wannigama, a physician scientist at the Department of Infectious Diseases and Infection Control at Yamagata Prefectural Hospital in Japan, posted on X last Wednesday about his findings.

 

“After sequencing the SARS-CoV-2 S gene and carefully analysing the data with existing BA.2.86 data I can confirm that our Thailand wastewater samples [are] positive for BA.2.86.”

Worry about it all you want. You seem positively obsessed with covid. Most of us have left it in the rear view a very long time ago. I am more concerned about catching a common cold or flu, than I am Covid. Been there, caught it, and it was a nothing burger.

It has been endemic for a long time, cases and fatality rates continue to drop, yet? Embrace science and common sense. We have been breathing in all kinds of bacterial and viral stuff, for millenia. I will not allow covid to turn me into a timid coward, afraid of people and disease. My immune system does all the work, and I do what I can to boost it and keep it strong. Finished wearing a mask a long time ago. Even in airports and on planes. Kudos to the foreign tourists for ignoring the tendency to continue wearing one. Show the locals what free thinking looks like. Defy the herd.
