A business associate called me last week. Said he had a mate coming to Thailand for the first time and asked me to take him out and show him around.

So i met the bloke and quickly realised that he didnt have the looks or game/personality/hygiene/style to pick up real girls.

So i thought we may as well head straight for the gogos.

 

After a couple of gogos he told me they were too noisy for him and he would prefer to just go to the beer bars he saw, which bore me, but I thought up to him.

So I know if you buy these girls drinks they will usually give you a bit of a squirrel grip and allow you to fondle and grope them.

Problem with this bloke is he started trying, and sometimes successfully, to start kissing them toungue down the throat style, much to the amusement and disgust of everyone else in the bars, mongers and hookers included.

It wasnt just for a few seconds, he would go on and on for as long as he could like a teenager. I think a few of the girls who didnt reject him thought it would lead to a bar fine, but it never did.

 

I mentioned a few things to try and put him off, like she had just done a blow bang with a van full of Indians etc, but there was no stopping this bloke.

He was a bit tight with buying drinks and tipping which made it worse. 

 

I know these girls do a lot worse, but that is in the rooms.

Is it just me, or is this a bit off?

I told his mate about him, who thought it was very funny.

I was happy when the bars all closed and the night was over.

As long as he isn't forcing himself on them, to each their own. If he is tight with drinks and tipping, he'll probably eventually run out of bars and ladies who will allow him to do it, depending on how long he is in Thailand for. Not someone I would want to hang around with though, that's for sure.

If referring to outside bars that's BS IMO. The girls sit on the inside of the bar and the customers on the outside.

The gogos are where the fondling goes on.

As for kissing them like that, more likely that they will get a good knee to the groin than succeed.

 

OP writes as though the farang bar scene is something like a Roman orgy, and it is far from that, as anyone that actually been to a few knows and doesn't just invent it.

Anyone over 21 shouldn't need a babysitter.

Perhaps that's how it works now, but it certainly never happened in my monging days.

The action happened AFTER the bar fine was paid, not before, and certainly not for losers that disrespected the bargirls.

I'm trying to recall how many times the sidekick got stabbed by the Thai gang, while the guilty guy quietly slipped out.

It was entirely your choice to hang out with him. At any point, you could have excused yourself. Sometimes perceived obligations are just that. Would your business associate have been upset, if you explained that this guy had no grace, nor manners? Would it have been an issue if he did not understand why you left this blazing fool on his own?

 

I was hanging out with a friend recently, who wanted to visit some go-go bars. My style is to pop in and pop out, and only stay if the gals are very hot. That was not his style, I quickly realized he wanted to burn alot of time and cash on ugly gals. After asking him if we could move on, and his refusal, I simply said goodby, left, and went out to find another spot. See ya. Have a good night and that was the end of that.

 

We waste time, if we want to waste time. We hang out with people we do not like or relate to, if we do not say no, or if we think there is an obligation. Who makes those decisions, anyway?

 

Everybody according to their taste. If he wants to kiss them and they accept that, then why not.

Obviously he should tip them. But then, there are also guys who do a lot more than kissing and don't tip.

 

I think we all needed some time to get used to Thailand. I also don't want to think about all the things which I did in my first weeks in Thailand.

I guess your comment was not too serious.

Personally I respect most of them. They do a job. I think it's only fair to treat them fair. I.e. if they let the customer touch all their parts they obviously expect a tip. The customer should give it to them, even if they didn't negotiate a price before the action.

Same principle with what the girls are willing to do and what not. If she accepts A and B but not C then be fair enough and respect that.

Maybe you had problems and they don't like you, but Thais are not stupid and can distinguish a hygienic person from a dirty one.

Oh, so it was a personal attack. Fair enough. 

 

As you know, I've lived here a long time(most of my life) and listen to Thai people. You are not going to hear the truth from bar girls. I watch Thai movies, follow Facebook and other social media etc. 

 

Farang have a reputation for not showering regularly and to be honest, it is true in my case. Just once a day, although I have a swim maybe 4 times a day.

In my first ever expedition to Patpong I didn't realise that lady drinks are more expensive than customer drinks and couldn't pay for hers- damn I was sooooo naive then!

 

The male service guy didn't beat me up, he even let me go without paying even a part of the lady drink. I did go back later and pay, which probably surprised him.

 

After that, Thailand was a learning curve, and even after decades there was still stuff I didn't know about to learn. Made every visit an adventure.
