Because if this person did commit suicide and did so in a car park, (and if the body had not been moved) then that's where the body would be found.

Never heard of a suicide doing it in a car park though

Your so clever you clearly don’t realise just how clever you are. What worries me more is who is going to treat you for believing any utterance coming from the Thai police.

You are so cynical, you don't realise just how how cynical you are!

When people are suicidal, all it takes is a thought, and then it will happen. They can be driving down the road, listening to music they like, thinking of their girlfriend and how much she loves him, just having a great Thai lunch, then the next thought is, this life sucks, and will never get better, no matter what. What they don't realize at the time, is that was just another random negative thought, that it will pass, that an hour from now they might feel better, and look at things in a more positive way. Tomorrow can come if you allow it to. And tomorrow can be a great day. When you change your thinking, and wrong thinking happens to everyone a lot, the world doesn't look so bad, and if your next thought is going to see a professional, that could be the beginning of your climb out of the dark hole you're in now.

He had his whole life ahead of him at 24. He was educated, he had a good graduate job.

The 24 year old man from Brighton had been travelling in Thailand for a number of months before making his way to the Thai capital.

So what job was that... roving reporter?

If that's  so UK business must be really short of human resources.... Where I come from you either want to work, or not.

You need to get out a bit - this is not uncommon.

We don't know the full circumstances. Finding the body in a car park is a question, as suicides are usually  alone and unassisted. But presumably the police have the results of the autopsy, have traced his final movements (including CCTV if available) and have checked his finances and mobile phone over the last few weeks for any unusual transactions/interactions.

Yeah, obviously, but what method of suicide other than leaping from a high rise would result in you dying in a car park?

Right, so if the RTP say he was murdered , you wouldn't believe them and you would claim that it was suicide ?

Hmmmm…. Not easy in any country of the world. Once police make a decision that basically is it, right or wrong. We have had several examples in Australia. The police have a lot more power than any individual, and power is what this will be all about.

He was in Thailand

For months and nobody here knows what happened in that time.

Many people are in Thailand and don't have any problems.

Anymore silly comments?

The mother can request an autopsy be performed at the Central Institute of Forensic Science (CIFS) via the embassy.
