There are a number of "creeps" who have made it into the Whitehouse...current one not excepted!  Who would vote for them?

When the biggest creep is the alternative, one votes for a lesser creep? One would think having a non-creep might be a better choice if offered, but few if any of those can run the political gauntlet and emerge on the other side unscathed regardless of their origin or political belief. It appears that having principles is no longer a beneficial position for politicians.

Leave a bunch of eyesores, and sadly, too many people out of work.

Yep there is, sadly, a great lacking in informed and critical thinking et large. And this could not be more obviously demonstrated in the largest faux democracy on earth.

I agree with you in your description of global 'capitalism'. We are all bred as slaves to that machine (unless you happen to be extremely rich).

Well well well another democrat state doing what ONLY the democrat states are doing. What a totally stupid thing to do - Trump will now simply take all of his business and wealth (reported at 2.5 billion) to Florida - people will lose jobs and now be fighting to get a job with the 100,000 odd newly arrived migrants. The $250 million is about 50 days of putting up the NY migrants. Trump will be well rid of the hellhole that is now NY. Just another nail in the coffin of that democrat state. Trump employs (2015) 22,500 people ish - those in NY can now wave goodbye to their old life.

He's not gonna be able to do any of what you say. He's now legally BROKE. Everything he owns in NY has been shut down, all business licenses cancelled. All his assets are frozen, in  particular the Trump Trust, which is where 99% of his so called wealth was kept. He can't sell anything, he can't move money around without the approval of the retired judge appointed to monitor every financial transaction. The banks have even taken possession of his home. I just don't see how so many Americans can be so gullible and still support this deluded conman and continue to claim it's democrats after Chump. It's not he's criminal and karma is catching up with him. Even his former employees are seeing the truth of it all and turning on him. Any American that still supports the worst president your country has ever had, and is so gullible to believe the BS that comes out of his mouth is just as delusional as he is and living in a fantasy world.

Trump won't be able to tie it up in litigation. have you not listened to any of the NY legal eagles discussing the judges ruling and how it's going to be applied. The Trump empire is OVER. ALL the funds raised from liquidating his business will go directly to the state of NY. Chump and his sons/family will not see a red cent.

Now, this is the heart of getting this lifetime crime lord locked up. In my opinion, they are pursuing the wrong line of attack. Nailing him for the Stormy thing seems lightweight. Even the election stuff, and the insurrection, is questionable. I think it is evidence that they are not sincere about putting this crime lord away. If they were, they would go after him for bank fraud or tax fraud. No doubt he is guilty of many counts. And no doubt those charges would not only stick, they would likely result in this sad mans spending many of his remaining years in prison.

But, I don't think there is political will to lock up an ex president. But, I sure hope I am wrong. Lock him up. He surely deserves to spend the rest of his pathetic life in prison.

No, not really, just saw in a news-blip early this morning, they ruled against him.  Didn't even bother reading that news-blip, since it was civil court.

I don't really follow Trump's legal issues, or most of any politics, worldwide.  I'm retired, and enjoy not caring.

I live in my little world, with me & mine, and that's all that matters.  SS & pension keeps coming.  Biden doing a crap job, good for me;  COLA (bad for USA)

That's about all the interest I have in the USA.  If they stop coming, well, don't care about that either, as never plan anything dependent on others.

As long as Makro & fresh markets have food, that's all that matters, or I'd have to go fishing  for dinner.  Good thing I can walk to the surf or local lakes.

Just another beautiful day in my world.

Honest to gawd, I can't figure if you are just making this up or if you could possibly believe all this garbage. You are suggesting a man be able to commit horrendous crimes because taking him to task would be "bad for business."

So where's the victim? One would think that banks would show due diligence in responding to any loan application and their foremost question would relate to the applicant's ability to repay the loan. History shows that such a loan had legs and the lender would have no problem in approving that application

Well, that's not what the judge thinks about this case, and his judgement carries a WHOLE lot more weight than your vacuous postings.

Holding a insurrectionist President and his enablers accountable for their crimes is far more important than Trump’s financial crimes.

If Trump and his enablers are not held accountable for trying to overthrow an election, ANOther President will eventually try and succeed.

There is a direct line between letting Nixon off for his crimes and Trump believing a President is above the law.

This needs sorting now,

It's been very slow in coming, but it's finally unfolding before our very eyes.

My personal belief is that Merrick Garland (and if I'm right may he rot in hell!) intentionally slow walked this whole thing in the hopes it would just die on the vine. Then the Jan 6 committee exposed all the crap that 45 and his evil minions did to try and overthrow the government, and now Giuliani, Meadows, etc. are getting squeezed.

If I were a betting man, I'd put my money on Meadows flipping. THAT would put that corrupt man-baby in an orange jumpsuit.

I certainly allow that the 91 indictments should play out, I trust the citizen Grand Juries and the citizen Trial Juries to hear the evidence and make their determinations in my name as an American citizen. OK, to allow that all of them and the Prosecutors, Defense Lawyers, Judges are all corrupted as being prejudiced against The Donald?

What business and wealth?

Trump no longer controls any assets in New York.

His corporate charters have been revoked immediately.

A receiver will be appointed to dissolve the company, take over the assets and distribute them as the court sees fit. The receiver would continue to collect rents, pay taxes, pay the bills and company salaries until the assets are sold off with Trump receiving what's left after debts and liabilities. It's expected the State will ask far higher than the original $250 million, upwards to $2 billion. The jury, the judge in this case, will decide.

My post was meant to provoke thought and hopefully honest debate thinking outside the box. History illustrates "questioning everything" or better put "individual thought" is paramount progressing from hunter gatherers to launching rockets to the moon and beyond.

Do you honestly think those in power care about the everyday man? Should everyone blindly believe everything at face value without using proper discernment? Shouldn't healthy pessimism and scrutiny be at the forefront of narrative. Has government proven itself to be truthful throughout history? Has mainstream media or local media?

How many people commenting on this thread have actually read the surrounding evidence from both sides then made a comment based on their findings? I sure as hell haven't knowing it's politically motivated. Taking that a step further, the last decade, or two? If the answer to that is minimal or none, would you call yourself well informed?

The best works of man have been achieved using the above line of thinking and more. Should now be any different? I'm not better than next man, far worse in many ways it's called the human condition. I hope this sheds light on my generalization.

For the Trump haters, stating the above in reference to questioning anything Trump and I'm branded a leftist, Trump hating demon, controlled opposition, CIA shill, Nazi and on and on. Then banned and silenced in any way possible. They are deceived and will do anything that man says believe anything he says and overlook reality. That in a word, is DANGEROUS.

Same thing for left leaning mainstream platforms except it's a reverberating effect across platforms, even more dangerous from a personal standpoint. Is the contents written in this post harmful, hateful or threatening? I would hope not.

I wish no man ill fates of any kind I stand for freedom of thought, not Orwellian dystopia and madness. God day.

I don’t think it’s an either or.

I believe Donald Trump will spend the rest of his life fighting court battles.

With a bit of luck attending court will be a chance for him to get out of his cell, if so, I expect an end to his delaying tactics.
