Popular Post roger101
Popped into Friendship today to buy a few things. I thought while I'm here I'll stock up on coffee. I always like to keep a couple of refills at home. I drink 6 or 7 cups a day, Moccana Espresso in the morning and Nescafe Gold Decaf in the evening. As I walked up to the coffee the girl was changing the prices. The Nesafe Decaf went from 475 Baht to 642 Baht. I know coffee is getting more expensive but a 167 Baht increase does seem excessive. So back home to check the other stores and Lazada to see if I can save some money. 1 2 2 1

jacko45k
I was a bit shocked to buy a bag of mixed nuts to see they were 400 baht when I thought about 360 the week before. Things go up in chunks here! Imported stuff going up likely due to a weaker baht..... 1 1

daveAustin
Real coffee at least seems to be considered ‘luxury’ here and like everything else in that bracket is overpriced. That store could also be trying it on. Perhaps a cue to switch to a healthier diet… 6-8 cups is excessive, no? ???? I do two and think I’ve gone overboard. 1

Popular Post Tropicalevo
Not too bothered about coffee prices, I buy a coffee from a local brand in Chiang Rai through Lazada - Sakoku coffee. https://th-th.facebook.com/Sakokucoffeee/ Always the same price and supporting traditional Thai businesses. Mind you, do not ask me about Waitrose raspberry jam from Tops. Price increase of 100 baht per jar. (129 to 229 baht!) 2

Has about doubled over the years. Decaff seems an extra expensive thing here. More exotic than all the rest? Lazada has quite a choice of instant decaf. But as I have zero knowledge about prices I can't tell what is cheap. The local "Moccona Blue" was OK as a grounded coffee until it vanished from the shelves. Moccona Instant decaf 100gr 299 B.
xtrnuno41
Wait for the time, no one will grow coffee beans anymore. Or for that matter cacao. The next generation dont want to do, they all want to be influencers on tiktok.

It's coffee from coffee beans that have had at least 97% of their caffeine removed. There are many ways to remove caffeine from coffee beans. Most of them include water, organic solvents, or carbon dioxide
