Age Concerns Plague Biden Following Special Counsel's Report: Poll Reveals Public Perception

 

A recent ABC News/Ipsos poll has shed light on growing concerns over President Biden's age following the release of a special counsel's report detailing his lack of recall. The poll, conducted in the wake of the report, found that a staggering 86 percent of Americans believe Biden, at 81 years old, is too old to serve in office.

 

Biden's status as the oldest president to run for office has intensified scrutiny over his ability to lead, especially when compared to his likely GOP opponent in the 2024 election, former President Trump, who is 77 years old. Interestingly, the poll also revealed that 59 percent of Americans consider both Biden and Trump to be too old for the presidency.

 

The special counsel's report, authored by Robert Hur, painted a picture of Biden as a "well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory," reigniting concerns about his age and cognitive abilities. This portrayal has once again brought the issue of age to the forefront of Biden's reelection campaign.

 

This latest poll reflects a trend seen in previous surveys, indicating that voters view Biden's age as a significant factor in his ability to serve. In September, a similar poll conducted by ABC News/Washington Post showed that 74 percent of Americans believed Biden was too old for another presidential term, while 49 percent held the same view about Trump.

 

Aside from age-related concerns, the poll also delved into public opinion on Biden's handling of classified documents and Trump's legal troubles. While opinions were divided on whether Biden should have been charged for his handling of classified documents after leaving office, a majority of Americans (66 percent) believe that Trump should not be immune to criminal prosecution for actions taken during his presidency.

 

Trump's legal team has been advocating for immunity from prosecution in his federal January 6 case, a stance that was rejected by an appeals court, prompting the matter to be sent to the Supreme Court.

 

Conducted from February 9 to 10, the ABC News/Ipsos poll surveyed 528 adults aged 18 or older and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 percentage points. As the political landscape continues to evolve, these poll results offer valuable insights into the public perception of key issues surrounding Biden's presidency and the upcoming election.

The uncomfortable to watch part is very true. Even the old But biden stutters routine doesn't hold water any longer. It's almost unimaginable the DNC will continue with biden as candidate.

Because the DNC Elite won't allow their voters any other choice.   To protect democracy, of course.

 

I'd add that, though the Biden situation may get so bad they have to parachute in another candidate, it won't be the voters that decide who that candidate will be.  That decision is much too important to leave to the voters.

 

WSJ article has Harris stating 'she's ready to lead the county, if Biden can't', and actually stated that, before the lack of memory report was released.   hmm ... maybe a heads up of what's to come

Despite his age, Biden is senile, mentally unfit to some extent that is uncertain at this point but nonetheless very obviously to be the case. He forgets when he was VP, when is son died, talks to dead people, thinks Mexico shares a border with Gaza, trips, stumbles, can't speak coherently, gets confused and lost exiting a stage, lies about the findings reported in SC Hur's report, lies about so much, and achieves so little. And now this, a crisis he's responsible for due to his mental impairment. This has got to end, US cannot be run, represented by a mentally challenged adult.

Absolutely right (although in fairness some of the 'mistakes' he makes are just bare faced lies - Joe Biden never lets the truth get in the way of a good yarn). 

 

In the clip I posted above he is clearly confusing the Mexico/US border issue with the Israel/Gaza border issue. How can such a bewildered man be trusted to lead a country, especially in the current political climate? It's insane at this point.

So the poll ignored what [Trump] did after he was president with the classified documents but didn't ignore what Biden did.   Hur is the latest GOP Fascist trying to influence the election instead of doing the job.  If 66% of Americans believe the President is above the law     I think the poll is BS.

The Brains-Trust of The Democratic Party believes that Biden is The Right Man to compete against Trump ( - because Biden can run on his record for the past 4 years). 

 

  -  If Trump were not to be the Republican-Candidate (for whatever reason), then I'm sure that The Brains-Trust would consider changing their Election-Plan.

 

And since it is a staple of Trump's playbook to delay-delay-delay in the court-cases against him, almost certainly he will be the Candidate for The Republican Party.

I'm not a Trump supporter but since even CNN can actually have several stories about Biden's let's say issues/ problems there is no reason it can't be done here sometime. It's always the same six people it seems. Never ending. Boring. It's important to discuss an 81 year old man who has been having absolutely worse cognitive issues as the years progress and who wants to be the President of the USA until Jan 2025.  What solution to this will actually be the biggest issue in politics in the next three months or so. No one else but a better choice should be the alternative topic. Not DT.
