Former PM Thaksin Shinawatra is set to travel in his private jet to visit his home province of Chiang Mai next week, an informed source said today.

 

Currently released from prison on parole, he will pay his respects at the Bangkok city pillar shrine before departing for Chiang Mai on March 14.

 

During his visit, he will be staying at a residence within Summit Green Valley, in Mae Rim district, where he will be visited by family members and relatives in the evening.

considering the cum a home taksins health and the pm2.5 issue in chaing mai right now... is this really the best time to be going ?

THis really is the medical hub of Asia. Miraculous recoveries after being released from the hospital for serious medical problems. So serious they kept him out of prison for all his sentence. 

I am confused at the Thais reaction to all that has happened. Ohh! there was no reaction and no one seemed to care

Glad he is feeling better after his ordeal in prison. Nobody would begrudge him a well earned holiday.

With our current AQI readings, an oxygen bottle is recommended for all. Sad ... In good conscience, health wise, I could not recommend anyone visiting Chiang Mai currently.

He is a multi billionaire he can afford his own personal medical team. He can have all transport outfitted to accommodate his medical needs. He can build his own private hospital wherever he goes without making a dent in that fortune. He probably gets better medical care now than before he was released.

I am underwhelmed.
