Pure lunatic mayhem, lies, propaganda, and conspiracy theories. Lots of middle aged peroxide blond presenters in short dresses and layers of plastic face paint trying to look attractive. It's pretty sickening to think it even has a place in the mainstream. It's basically a live streaming tabloid posing as a form of reality.

But lets not forget that fox "news" would not exist if not millions of Americans would watch it all the time. As far as I know they are very successful. What should we think about the citizens of a country who actually want to see that cr#$ all the time. And they believe it.

Well yes, of course, it is a Murdoch product!

Yes... I agree... but then again Fox is not alone... anyone who listens or reads any media and believes it to be the gospel or the holy grail has a few screws loose... just like the guy who posted this op... what a fitting handle... bubblegum indeed... PolitiFact | Fact-checking Fox, MSNBC and CNN: PunditFact's network scorecards

Yeah, good luck with that. The fact checking includes the talking heads, not just the news station anchors. So faux news is at 58% and CNN is at 22%. I watch CNN regularly and the only false info there is from the Republican pundits who spin their nonsense anywhere that they can.

And what do you think about omitting news?

It seems many news stations, including CNN, don't show things which are not positive for "their side".

I.e. sometimes a friend send me videos from Biden when he talks rubbish, can't find his way from the stage, or plays with the hair or little girls.

It seems for MAGA fans that is news. But CNN won't show some demented behavior.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Next time at least spell check the thread title. Quite humorous, Who is Walters?

One of the definitions or characteristics of a "fox" is "trickery and deceit".

Fox news. Get it?

Proper grammar and spelling much like their fact gathering is not the liberals go to... it's more about how they feel.

Seems to me you understand what I'm trying to say even without my proper use of grammar and spelling. But you just use it for some ridiculous make up thing about liberals and to look smarter or semi schooled. BTW jumping from spelling to fact gathering is quit an accomplishment and my OP is not based on facts, just a small observation meant to be funny. Sorry that we do not share the same humour.

Fox anchors would have to move 5 miles to the right (and gain 800 pounds) in order to balance MSDNC's leftists.

Was Wolf Blitzer Fox or CNN? I can't remember. That was a long time ago.

But one thing I remember is the tone of his voice was the same no matter what he was talking about.

He could spit out the news about bombs going off and children being killed and then 5 minutes later talk about the weather with the same tone of voice.

Like a robot.

What taxpayer money?

As opposed to NPR that had 87 registered Dems in the newsroom and zero registered Repubs?  They take tax money.  For now.

Blitzer's cover of the attack on Bagdad is what put CNN on the map.  But it's been downhill since.  Now, CNN is just a media arm of the DNC.

I would.  Multiple times.

All "news" is propaganda.  Always has been since the beginning of time, regardless of the ideology of those espousing the "news".

I often go down deep rabbit holes in a quest for the "truth". It never fails to surprise me how evil those in charge of the world (and that means every elected politician, every unelected bureaucrat, and media and corporate bosses) really are, and always have been.

Because if there were a few honest ones with humanity's interests really at heart, we wouldn't be living in the current dystopia, with worse to come.

Maybe that's why I've become a lapsed atheist. :coffee1:

You can't lump them all together. Faux News is bottom of the barrel. Fact checking is critical. And we now know that at least one dodgy media outlet took money to make Trump look good. Pretty much can guarantee Tucker and Hannity did something similar.

I don't agree with that. I regularly check both Faux News and CNN to see what they are reporting. CNN reports on pretty much everything. Faux News doesn't. They lost too many viewers when they correctly called Arizona for Biden.

If you took the time to watch all of Biden's SOTU speech, you would maybe see someone who talks cogently and with vigor. Depending on how entrenched your bias is.

Then tell me what you can detect in a Trump speech which remotely resembles a policy which will benefit the average American. After you have filtered out every deflection, non sequitur, and arrant nonsense.

Not true. Your bias is showing again.
