Anyone who had done any reading at all about the rise of socialism would know that some of the first people Hitler rounded up when he came into power were the socialists.

  Thai society has many medieval traits, one of which is the obsession with a class division (has nothing to do with modern days so called right agenda). Trumpists, on the other hand, dream about moving 100 years back in time in order to live in a "modern" society in which race and pureness of blood are of the highest importance. Less retarded Americans have no choice but to live in a post-modern world reality, which is confused, chaotic and unpredictable.

Until you stop believing that the US "right" has the same balance as the "right" anywhere else in the world, you're ALWAYS going to think that anyone that is anywhere near the centre of the political spectrum is left wing.

National health service, free schooling, heavily subsidized public universities, price controls on fuels and essential foods, government controlled rice and agricultural product markets, large effective civil service, on going centralized government run national development plans.

 

I don’t think Thailand fits western definitions of political right/left.

I studied ww2 history. Socialism led to fascism.

Speaking about Americans only, the right wing people in Thailand are typically from the fly over red states where they tend to be lower educated and therefore make less money. So they can't afford it like the more affluent liberals who live in states with a higher income.

 

I think most of the lefties referred to by the OP are not from the US but are more critical of the right as they can't believe they're so stupid they've been sucked in by the lifetime orange grifter.
