Until you stop believing that the US "right" has the same balance as the "right" anywhere else in the world, you're ALWAYS going to think that anyone that is anywhere near the centre of the political spectrum is left wing.

Speaking about Americans only, the right wing people in Thailand are typically from the fly over red states where they tend to be lower educated and therefore make less money. So they can't afford it like the more affluent liberals who live in states with a higher income.
