The only reason some people are so excited about Harris' performance is because expectations were so low.

I saw it all and my only thought was that it was geared to make Harris look good.. Even when she got off topic they did not stop her... But it does not change the fact that she has no plan... she has no idea what to do about economy and actually tried to bribe votes by saying she wants to give all parents extra money. She has no idea about international relations. She avoided answering about how to stop the war. Only happily saying her party supplied weapons for defense of Israel... forgetting that she the weapons sent to Ukraine were used to attack inside Russia.. She is going to get the US into a war and poverty faster than Trump would. But is ok... i do not care. i will not be voting because they do not have a (NONE OF THE ABOVE) option on a voting card. And i am not in USA anymore. I just hope her lack of knowing how to handle other leaders does not bring parts of the war she will make into Thailand

The J6 National Guard issue is not resolved. The "Speaker" is at least partially responsible for security at the Capitol (she admitted as much in her daughter's VDO in her car) and rejected an offer of supplementary NG security days before the riot. Despite several warnings, security at the Capitol was even llower than normal on the day - why was that??

 

The Covid Recession caused the 2020 slump, followed by a corresponding (relative) rebound but the continued post Covid overspending by the Democrats drove inflation even higher, finally necessitating higher interest rates which make buying and borrowing difficult. The US jobs numbers have recently been seen to be erroneous/manipulated and in the USA UE is already rising again as jobs start to disappear.

Harris clearly won the debate as she came across as being both intelligent and coherent, and Trump's dilly about the dog smorgasbord in Ohio was classic. That was one for the books and I think even people on the fence will look at that and say, whoa, I really didn't think he was quite that insane!

 

The real question though is will it make a difference? Trump supporters will not budge from their position, it doesn't matter what he says or does, it doesn't matter whether he loses or wins the debate, it doesn't matter whether or not he's a felon, or a rapist. The real question is the independents. Will Harris be able to move the independents enough to create a significant margin, and be able to win over both the electorate and the useless Electoral College? That is the big question.

I didn't think she performed badly, but that does not mean she performed well.

Trump behaved himself more than expected.

 

On the whole it was a boring debate, no fire, no crashes, no excitement, no passion, just blah.

I can't stand Harris, but I have not excoriated her on this thread, unlike those that hate Trump, without, IMO, justification. He didn't shine, but neither was he a train wreck.
