Two Iranian Thieves Arrested for Targeting Chinese Tourists in Bangkok

Police in Bangkok's Thonglor District have arrested two Iranian men who befriended Chinese tourists and secretly stole cash from them. The suspects have a history of similar offenses.

On September 17th, Pol. Col. Pansa Amarapithak, head of Thonglor Police Station, along with Pol. Lt. Col. Akkaraphon Thanatham, Deputy Superintendent of Thonglor Investigation, instructed Pol. Capt. Mana Maseung, Chief Investigator, to lead the arrest.

They apprehended Mr. Dinavar Siavas Mohammad, 29, and Ms. Mizaniaparco Fatemi Ali, 41, both Iranian nationals, in front of a condominium in Yanawa Subdistrict, Sathon District, Bangkok.

The incident began when the two suspects approached Chinese tourists standing outside a hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 20, pretending to talk about currency exchange and asking to see their cash.

They returned most but not all of the money. The victims later found 10,000 baht missing and reported it to Thonglor Police.

Further investigation revealed that the suspects committed another similar theft in the Asoke area, running off with more money. Security camera footage helped track them to the mentioned condominium, where they were captured just as they were preparing to flee back to Iran.

Initially, both suspects denied the accusations. However, the police investigation indicated that they are experienced criminals with a history of such actions. The police have charged them with theft and will proceed with legal action.

Six months in a shared cell, then blacklisted for life.

Oh, where is the Sharia law when you need it.

Oh my Imam:, "But she was only a woman, and not even a Muslim'.

If the west hated arabs as much as thai people did, liberals would not be winning elections

Send them home with a letter to the Iranian police.  I'm sure they won't steal after they've been dealt with by Islamic law.

I detest thieves.

Got me thinking of the beginning of a joke: 'two Iranian men and two Chinese tourists walk into a bar....'

I wonder if they would be embarking on a life of crime in Iran?

Don't disagree about the Arabs. Many signs in Pattaya moons ago state - no Arabs.

They criminals are Persian. Similarities between cultures but they are as different as apples and oranges

I am confused.

Are these the same two thieves that stole from the Pakistani gent that was robbed, as reported in AN yesterday?

Maybe Ms. Mizaniaparco Fatemi Ali, 41, identifies as a man (but without a cock).

So why were they not arrested jailed and kicked out before ??

What? Only one Mohammad out of two? That´s outrageous! Now the prophet will go berzerk on his people.

Like P.T. Barnum rightly said, "There's a sucker born every minute"!

If you are dumb enough to hang with Iranians, o well.

Darn, that makes me a really smart person. Not even a Muslim in my circle of known people. <deleted>! I will call Mensa!

Nothing like a daily dose of victim blaming, eh?

I never understand the purpose of these group photos. They are more like a corporate function photo than an arrest photo. Criminal photos usually only show the perps. What's the utility of putting seven plain clothes detectives into the shot? Are these special "I was there moments"?

Their biggest fear will likely be after they are deported back to Iran.

But Iranians are not Arabs.
