The latest topics is on top, then latest post and then the topic I clicked on? Is this the new layout?

If it is a new layout then it defies logic.

This is an English speaking forum and English speakers read left to right.

On most pages, the left hand side will be blank as you move further down.

Useless layout.

I'm not seeing any new topics or content in threads just the toppic headers

using firefox mobile view ,if I switch view to desktop then things work again ...though not so nice on a tiny mobile phone screen.

back to "normal" again for me.

I well I perhaps spoke a bit too soon as now on my PC  looking at the desktop view  the topics list is now on the left  whereas before it was on the right  other than that  it seems "normal"

I've been wondering if I hit a key by mistake and swapped the columns. I see that it wasn't just me.

Hopefully it's going to be fixed as it's a pain like this.

I ended up blocking the entire sidebar. Didn't need it that much anyway. Much better. The cool thing is that the notification links now (again) go to the actual notification as they should.

How do you get rid of the sidebar?

In CSS, it's

#ipsLayout_sidebar {
  display: none;
}

In the Ublock Origin browser extension, you select the entire sidebar and click Create to create a blocking filter.
