EV Owners … Real life experience & help thread
Let's not lose context or twist my post, your post was in response to mine (above). Whether some manufacturers haven't reached their anticipated profitability yet doesn't mean they are dumping or that it's unsustainable. All new models are sold at a loss until development costs are recouped. They need either substantial cash reserves or financial support until they hit that point. Unsustainability only occurs if they run out of finance before that point. That can be down to many factors. If a Chinese manufacturer can make and sell cars at a profit (eg BYD) than that means it's a sensible price for that segment. It's up to the competition to compete. It's not right to say the price is wrong and unsustainable as one manufacturer has already demonstrated it's ok. If the competition is selling for less than that, it could well be unsustainable. -

Atorvastatin
There are several brands available in Thailand.I formerly used Sandoz 20 mg though at my pharmacy availability is less certain than before. It's now available again after an absence. My question is whether there is in fact any loss of benefit in switching to a cheaper brand of generic eg Xarator 20 mg which I've been using recently. I'm not concerned to find the cheapest alternative, more interested to know whether there is a difference in quality or efficacy. -

Best Orthopedic (orthopaedic) Doctor Or Surgeon In Bangkok?
I have pain in the back of my knee. A few weeks ago I saw a doctor at a hospital in Bangkok (not sure if I can mention the name) who recommended laser physiotherapy in 2 weeks, 3 times a week. It has been a fairly expensive treatment but unfortunately it has not helped. I have seen @Sheryl's recommendation for Dr. Panya. The thread is fairly old so I am just wondering if anyone has some new recommendations for a good orthopedic doctor preferably specialist on knee surgeries. Thanks. -

French Man Arrested for Reckless Riding on Doi Suthep
Feel like I see this kind of riding almost every time I'm on the road - locals, foreigners, it doesn't matter - too many drivers act invincible. I wonder what a bit of traffic enforcement would do to this country. Put policemen out there with body cams, issue tickets for even the small violations, reform the system so that unpaid tickets result in denied insurance renewals and licenses, and watch the road problems slowly begin to evaporate. People break all the rules because they will get away with it every time -

I thought this photo was from Soi Buakhao
This is a screenshot from Plan 9 from Outer Space, widely considered to be the worst Hollywood film ever made. It was directed by the legendary Ed Wood. It's become a cult classic among film connoisseurs who feel the movie is so unintentionally funny it doesn't deserve to be called the all-time worst. Pictured in the photo are Vampira (Maila Nurmi), the first TV horror show host, and Tor Johnson, a Swedish profesional wrestler and sometimes actor. -

Understanding Prostate Cancer: Causes, Symptoms, and Treatment Options
Just heard about Chris Hoy, UK cyclist, who has been given 2 - 4 years to live after Prostate cancer has spread. They said that in UK you can get a PSA test if you are over 50, he is only 48, but his father and grandfather both had Cancer. I can get a PSA test done here for Bht 300. and do so every 6 months ! -

ThaiHealth Forum Urges Enhanced Child Road Safety Measures
This should be taught in school, public forums are OK but who will bother to go ? Invite the local cops along and point out to the kids, that these are the reason, they are vulnerable on any road anywhere 'coz they are lazy and don't do their job properly. Now kids altogether say boo to the cops, blow raspberries, and stick your tongues out, thumbs on noses.
