Before CNN started crying and shuddering, they had some good analysis during the evening. John King showed that Trump outperformed his 2020 result by 3% or more in ONE THOUSAND counties in the US (out of about 4000). Harris outperformed Biden 2020 in just 50. That explains a lot.

No. I won't. I began to dislike Trump in the early 80s when I worked in commercial real estate in New York City and I dealt with a number of associates who had direct dealings with Trump. All the stories were the same, he's a gangland creep, he's a thief, he's a scam artist, and he is a pathological liar.

 

Being president is not going to change any of that, getting elected to a second term is only going to make his tendencies worse. You watch, don't say I didn't warn you.

Ukraine war should never have happened IMO, and why are US troops in Europe anyway? Cold war ended a long time ago. Even the Brits packed up their BAOR units and went home.

 

The US has been living on debt for too long. Someone has to sort it.

Well, Zelensky is now on a timer. He has about 2 months to get a deal done before the new broom comes into office. Winter is "off season" for the war, so hopefully something can be arranged to stop the insanity.

I guess you've never been in commercial real estate but when you are a relatively small guy and you own a couple of buildings, and someone comes along and makes you an offer, there is a tendency to accept it. Once you sit down at the closing table which is how deals are done in New York it is then that you realize you're dealing with a money grubbing, creepy monster, who absolutely refuses to leave $1 on the table.

I'm not sure why everyone is saying he is a dictator or fascist, he did have a prior term that he tried very hard to have a dialog with the real dictators. I'm not sure why that is a bad thing, even though they are bad rulers, why be antagonistic towards them? try diplomacy first. Nothing really bad happened during his first term, the world didn't end, and he didn't create internment camps for liberals and other nonsense. My house more than doubled in value, as did my investments.

 

For the record I didn't vote for him or Harris, I voted Independent as my preferred candidate didn't get the nod (Nicki Haley).

 

I notice the dollar has gained versus the Baht, so that is good news for us. Give it a chance.
