This post really sums you up as a being rather strange, though I reckon the bar stool brigade think you are a wow......:drunk:

You sure are fitting right into the theme of liberal melt down. I look at that avatar and it really fits you well. Whatever happened to the guy that made long, lonely time spent in Nakhon Nowhere sound great? It's two different personalities. One has a future one doesn't Mr. Anderson.

"The Evil Left"....would that include such well-known conservatives as Gen. John Mattis and Rex Tillerson?  Both of these men described Trump as an "idiot". Having worked for Trump and knowing him well and both being arch-conservatives seems to be antithetical to your "evil left" hypothesis.

Yes.

An idiot who uses Shakespearean jargon such as "beclowning", should not speak of the limitations of others. Trump will be spectacularly unsuccessful in his second term and hopefully will cease breathing and bequeath his empire of crap to J.D. Vance, who will further discredit conservatives.

I hope I'm still around in 4 years to remind you of that post following a successful 4 years for Trump.

You guys got it wrong on Trump being behind Harris. That was just MSM lies. You were wrong on everything and you will be wrong on his term.

Wait a bit longer until after Trump trashes the currently spectacular Biden economy with his tariff and mass deportation politicies to watch Trump voters themselves crying with regret that they traded their democracy for the empty promises of a great con man.

Spectacular economy, 555555,

But your fellow Dem @spidermike007 has been posting US prices and inflation are out of control for the past 4 years.

Inflation was bad. yes.

Now it is well under control.

What do the magautocrats want now?

Deflation? Lost decades like Japan had.

The ignorance of the maga economic argument is stunning. Almost none of them have any idea how tariffs work and who pays for them or how mass deportations will trigger massive inflation. But Trump loves the uneducated.

The mere anticipation of a Trump economy has the US dollar sky rocketing since he was elected. The dollar does not rise unless interest rates rise (save for wars, etc). Interest rates don't rise unless there's inflation.

Translation: your complaint that Biden's inflation ( a DNA test revealed Trump to be the father) will not have the same impact going forward.

You lost? Give it up, man. Your raving about Harris and the Dem 'unity' was wrong, and you can't accept it (of course).

Imagine paying $50K-90K a year, and the professor cancels classes because she doesn't feel like working after the election.

I'm currently visiting my son in the US (SoCal).

We went out for breakfast - two coffees, one avocado toast w/salmon, one omelette with bacon/hash browns/toast.

  Bill was $60 USD.  Crazy.

Another evening - two burgers, one beer.  $62 USD.  Plus tip.

Prices "under control", lol.  No effing way.

Do you think they'll be better this time next year and why? Interest rates are rising since Trump was elected..

US stock markets opened sharply higher, buoyed by Trump’s decisive victory. Treasury yields — or market interest rates — spiked, while the dollar has rallied against major currencies, partly as traders price in higher domestic inflation and therefore fewer interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve.

https://edition.cnn.com/2024/11/06/economy/inflation-interest-rates-donald-trump-presidency/index.html

But in an ironic twist, some of Trump’s own policies – which he heavily promoted on the campaign trail – could send inflation soaring once more if enacted. Specifically, economists caution that his proposed policies on tariffs, immigration and taxes may do more to exacerbate inflation than curb it.

But if he enacts many of the policies he proposed on the campaign trail, voters may see prices continue to rise, according to economists, analysts, and business owners.

“There’s a lot of inflationary pressure in his promises,” says Simon Johnson, one of the 2024 winners of the Nobel Prize in Economics and a professor at MIT’s Sloan School of Business.

You really sense a remarkable demoralisation of the Left this time round. The religious fervour has evaporated away. The idea that the future always bends to the Left shtick has been wrecked. Even a majority of Latino men voted Trump. He won a majority vote.

Where can the left turn? They really are scrapping the barrel with the latest form of their religious awakening in the shape of men in girls' bathrooms.

It's difficult to recall just how intense the Woke fever peaked at. Whites were more pro-immigrant than immigrants. Whites expressed remarkable levels of oikophobia in survey after survey.

Trump is a giant shock to the Left. The fever has broken. A pivot to economic issues could be next.

Religious fervor among the left now? The right wing do a have a problem explaining away their proclivities. Accusation  confessions aka projection is how they do it.

This psychologizing the other side is so tiresome. I'm sure it makes you feel good but it's a dead-end. Just take the L.

I describe it as a religious fervour because that's how it expressed itself. The senate leaders going to their knees over BLM, Whites chaining themselves up and begging forgiveness for their sins. It was all moral theatre. It self-described as a religious awakening: Woke. Denying what I can see before my eyes is foolish.

When you're in a cult it doesn't feel like it. But you are. Your DNA emerged from the extreme puritanism of the Mayflower refugees. All of us non-Americans can see it. And because you're in a cult, everything American is dialled up to 11.

Your fever has broken, just spend this time to recuperate before the next religious upheaval in 25 years.

But you don't live in the US and don't visit the US, so how do you know prices are under control now? I only know what other posters tell me about the USA as I haven't been there for 30 years.

Essentially, you're reposting stuff you read in MSM, with no personal knowledge of how the USA actually is, while those with personal experience appear to be posting the opposite.

I bet you didn't even vote!

I too just spent some time in the US.  Inflation is waaaaay out of control.

Eating out has doubled….from fast food to pizza.   A burrito from Chipotle with everything on it (not including extra meat) was $28.00….no drink.

I love how people point to GDP being up as something to bolster their “economy is doing great” claims.   Aren’t wars and bombs included in GDP?  Maybe we should drop more bombs….or even better…supply both sides of all the conflicts?

That would really drive our GDP upwards!

What’s really gonna hurt is when all the adjustable rate mortgages start to reset from 2% to 7%.

I'm guessing that you don't know why interest rates go up?  You'll probably blame George Soros... LOL or ... but, but, but Hillary!

Can't see it myself, when costs exceed income in a countries general population you get revolution, which the western governments won't allow.
